your info is everywhere.  There are even county sites that list my neighborhood street, the neighbors, their names,average yearly income, ages. Businesses subscribe, and buy customer info. Every single site you buy from sells info. Unless you go their page that has you peruse , sign contract you do NOT want your info sold. If you have been shopping on a site for hers, most likely you need to resign the paperwork.   When you fill out credit info, it is sold as well. We can go online put in address, and find out who lives there.  We are in a world right now where not too much is private. QVC woukd have age and demographics, etc from everyone who has applied or has credit card.

Well, many of us grew up when we all had telephone books that not only had our phone number, but our address, as well.

No one complained about it.

Of course, you could get an "unlisted number," but that was considered very odd to do so.

@Effie54 .............millions of people buy Amazon clothes and makeup.

I have bought clothing from them.  When I started I got some not so good clothes, but I learned to do some research on their items and have been very pleased with my recent clothing items and the price.  Last year I bought 2 cropped wide leg sweat pants style because my leg was in a cast and then a walking cast, had to buy something that would fit over the casts.  They were inexpensive and I really like them.  There are the same things on QVC that cost around $40 to 50.00 more.

When I need makeup Amazon is the first place I check and end up buying it cheaper.

Probably to much information, sorry.

@Etoile308

I have been w/ Q since CVN

I spend a lot and rarely, if ever, shop anywhere else.  Prices had gone up everywhere.

I don't feel alienated at all, wondering why others would?

They have stepped up immensely with free shipping, I get 5 EZ pays on everything with my Q card, I have all issues handled well.....

They have new lines all the time, even if I don't like them!  LOL

The lines I buy are what I consider far better quality than Walmart or Amz.  I'm willing to spend more for something that last and lasts....

It makes no matter to me if they stream, Tik Tok or all the other modern ways of marketing trying to reach new customers of any age.

I shop online so as long as they have a website, I have no issues.

Agreed.

IMO, Q thinks older people are the same as they were in the 1950s. We aren't. I'm in my 70s and don't dress the way Q thinks a lot of us do.

As an older QVC shopper I can still find items to buy.  One issue with QVC is the lack of interest in the TSV.  Too little value!  Fashions seem fine for all ages but paying for shipping both ways if not fitting correctly is a huge expense.  QVC should have something like Amazon Prime free shipping.  I remember getting a birthday card from QVC with a special discount.  Well, where did that go?  Finally the home decor department is in need of a new buyer!  VPH is same items each year with a new color etched glass whatever.  Can we get some better stuff for our homes?  I mean today there is a $7000 Vault emerald ring!  If you offer that you can offer a better candle holder.  And I know Mackenzie Childs is higher end but that is such a specific look not everyone adores.

@Imaoldhippie  I guess some people do buy those items on Amazon. I had terrible luck with clothing on Amazon and wouldn't look there again.

I started with QVC from day ONE and was with CVN prior to that.

There was SO MUCH MORE VARIETY and no house brands.  You didn't see the same brands/vendors every week.

Then when they introduced house brands,  they were priced well.

You could truly trust the QVC quality.  They even did inspections on random items.  Often times I would get something that said,  INSPECTED BY ####.

Items were priced better,  especially the TSVs.

The only thing that has remained constant is the great CUSTOMER SERVICE.  Kudos to that!!!!

There's a nice article in today's Philalphia Inquirer.  (I tried to post the link but I'm not sure how to do it on my tablet.)

The article was about all their faithful customers who have kept them in business these past 40 years. They interviewed several of them and their stories were interesting. One lady had no idea how much she owed QVC because she uses easy pay for everything.  She thinks it's about $5,000.

At the end of 2024, 75% of viewers were over 55.  As they age, the younger generation doesn't sit and watch like the original viewers did.  QVC is well aware of needing to reach the next generation.  They picked up 225,000 new customers from TikTok.  But, they are billions of dollars in debt.

A big challenge has been Amazon.  Amazon is so big they can't compete.  But, they have no intentions of giving up.

Fyi dont post outside links or the post will be removed and/or you will be put in a "time out"....Part of QVC Community Standards, and Conditions and Terms which are separate from Community Guidelines.....( I found out the hard way folks)

Standards say: Do not post web addresses (URLs) for, or links to, outside sites that violate these guidelines ---which means use third-party copyrighted or trademarked content in anything you post

@Etoile308

Millennials and younger GenX are not their customers, QVC has wasted tons of money in finding this out, but some Q Executives are still trying without success to harness this demographic🙄

The most loyal, repeat-purchasing customers are women aged 45-65, who generate approximately 74% of QVC and HSN, and its primary, most loyal customer base remains women over 50 (Baby Boomers and older Gen X). While the company has previously tried to attract younger generations, it has recently pivoted back to focusing on the "Age of Possibility"—women 50 and older who possess high purchasing power, peak income earning years and are often overlooked by brands. QVC is also expanding into streaming apps and TikTok to capture viewers who have cut the cord.
