Q packaging laughs

I'm sure others have addressed this before, but I just got a real chuckle when opening a package from Q. I'd ordered some hoop earrings. They came in:

• Q's padded bag

• then a box

• then a soft faux suede bag

• then a plastic zip bag

• then each earring was inside its own smaller plastic zip bag

equaling 6 layers of packaging...

To me, it would seem more "green" to just put the earrings in a box with the little card inside that holds a pair of earrings side by side. That would equal 3 layers at most.
