Q Card interesting situation

I went looking at my QVC order history to see if I had ordered the oranges being offered today as a special value.  What I found upset me.. in that there was a vest ordered and "delivered" to my home address.  Sounds normal... right.  Well I did not order the vest and it did not come in  (early December dates). And it was billed to my Q Card which I rarely used.  When I asked about it, they quickly refunded the money.  NO problem there.  But what in the world happened.  I was told it was a call in to a representative.  I never call in.  Or if I ever call in I never use the Q card.  I have a Visa card on file.

What a crazy situation.  I decided to cancel the Q card.  And they are giving me a credit for my "purchase" that never arrived and was never ordered.  I can use the credit for future purchases.

Ghosts in the system I guess.  Anyone have this happen or anyone have some thoughts on this.

Re: Q Card interesting situation

@bonnieluI'm not sure how these things happen, but they do.

A few years ago, I walked onto my terrace abd saw a large box on the table.  I knew I hadn't ordered anything, but Christmas was coming and I thought perhaps I was getting a gift.

It turned out to be a gift, but not the way you'd think.  The box contained a dozen bottles of wine.  The invoice showed my name and address, but not my credit card.  I called the company, actually made 3 calls until I finally told the third rep that I was making my last attempt to return the wine.  She asked me to take a bottle for my trouble and close the box up and leave it on that table where it had been delivered and they'd have it picked up.

Never happened--  I had all the wine (great red!) which had been billed at almost $250 and never heard another word.  Somewhere someone must have been billed, but it wasn't me and we did enjoy that wine even though it sat outside in its box for days on end.

PS - glad QVC took care of you and we may never know how the error got started.

Many years ago we ordered a computer from the manufacturer and received two.We called three times yo ask for it to be picked up and it never was.I could not believe that no one came for it but I figured after all of those attempts that it was now their problem.

I received a very expensive crib from HSN years ago.  I didn't order it, wasn't having a baby.  I wasn't charged for it.  I tried several times to get them to send someone after it and that never happened.  We gave it away to my husband's coworkers that were having a baby and they were thrilled.

Re: Q Card interesting situation

No way I would have ordered THAT vest.  Had a sherpa collar which I don't like.  I do own vests.  Prefer them to coats... but this one was not my style or choice.  I got a bit scared because I thought someone had taken over my Q card which I rarely use.  And it said in the order summary that it was delivered.  And 'SOMEONE HAD CALLED IN' according to their records.  Crazy.Woman Frustrated  Never happened.  And I APPLAUD QVC for helping me immediately.  Great customer service for this problem.

Now I am wondering if I ordered something and they got the order confused and never sent it... except the bill of course.

We had this happen. DH ordered a Honda lawn mower online from Home Depot because it was not sold in our area. It was delivered & a few days later another one was delivered. DH called to tell them he received 2 & they needed to pick one up. They wanted us to return it. The closest Home Depot is a 3 hr round trip. No way we were making that trip to return one of them. They never did pick it up so DH now has 2 nice lawn mowers. It cost between $300-$400. He has one in the shed out back & one in the garage he uses it on the front yard & the other one on the backyard. LOL!!!

I agree with this.  Sometimes people mess up.

To show the item 'returned' may be the only way the QVC computer can clear it from your account.

It is not a normal transaction and the computer may not be programmed to show 'error' on your account.  Glad they straightened it out for you!
