Holiday purchases can be returned through January 15th. Most purchases made on or after October 15th may be returned through January 15th, 2023 with an original or gift receipt.

Perhaps old news, but new to me.

I saw on the news the other day that they are going to start charging for returns for online purchases. I think they said it would be $8.00. There were others, but can't remember them now. The reason, of course, was the high cost of shipping.

@catter70 the Today Show did a piece on this earlier this week. This doesn't include online returns to a store. You can return online purchases to a store w/o any return costs.

Penney's has never had a big presence in our area, but the one closest to me went out about 7 years ago. There is one remaining in our state about 40 minutes away, which people in NewEngland generally consider JetBlue worthy.

I have seen a few nice commercials on TV for Penney's recently! It made me happy to think that they might be getting up off the mat! There were so many predictions that they would be out of business in the past few years. I hope they become a modern day success story. I used to love shopping the Penney's catalogue back in the 80s.

There are 2 stores in my area. Years ago I used to shop there but now with gas so high I am not inclined to drive 30 miles each way just for recreational shopping. I have other stores and malls much closer.

I love Penney's though I rarely get to the mall (it's in another town) Their shipping and return shipping is pretty expensive so I have to be careful about buying. I'd probably shop more if that part wasn't a concern.

There was a time I was able to return things to a Walgreens in town, and I shopped online quite a bit then.

I used to love the local JCP and they were a great source for Fiestaware. Unfortunately, they went downhill quite a few years ago - just like Macy’s. I wonder sometimes what companies and corporate buyers are thinking.
