I picked out a pup that is now 4 weeks old. I thought I would get the pup at 8 weeks, like I've always have, but the breeder says she keeps them until 12 weeks old. Is this the norm now.
I read online that it may be better for the breeder to keep them until 12 weeks so the parents can teach them. I've had pups of my own years ago and kept two and the father did discipline them long after the 8 weeks. Anyone else have to wait until 12 weeks?
