I guess Amanda Bynes got in some trouble for her comment. Are you buying her story? I admit her explanation is very creative.
Amanda Bynes explains offensive online cancer post
The Hairspray star made the drastic decision to shave off her hair earlier this year (13) after claiming it had been damaged by salon treatments and she has since been covering up her short style with a series of bizarre and colourful wigs.
And the actress recently took to her Twitter.com account to complain about her shorn hair writing, "Not having hair makes me feel like a cancer patient."
Her insensitive tweet enraged many followers, who blasted the star for being disrespectful to sufferers of the disease, and Bynes has now attempted to justify her remarks, claiming she had missed out a vital piece of punctuation and was in fact referring to the star sign Cancer.
In a series of posts she writes, "Oh my God, let me just be the first to say: I can completely see how offense (sic) was taken. I truly apologize (sic) for the miscommunication... and all resulting discomfort or anger. I’m not a wretched person with zero sense of perspective or respect for fellow human beings; rather, the actual explanation of my statement is something far more banal... this was a very stupid grammatical error.
"What I intended to say was 'not having hair makes me feel like a cancer: patient.' That is, waiting for my hair to grow has made me a more patient person - a trait, in the astrological community, typically associated with those born under the Cancer sign. I’m actually an Aries (traditional traits: inexcusably poor grasp of punctuation.)"
The actress then appeared to make light of her own apology by adding, "Not having your forgiveness makes me feel like I should have Aids... Christ, I’ve done it again. I meant: not having your forgiveness makes me feel like I should have aides, lower-case and with an 'e'. Aides because I’m clearly in something of a public-relations quagmire. Please accept my second apology."
