Re: Pumpkin Spice Foods, Ranked From Horrific To Absolutely Delicious

[ Edited ]

I'm happy just sticking with pumpkin pie and perhaps, occasionally, pumpkin ice cream.  Pumpkin spice coffee? Methinks not. Blech! You can have all the other pumpkin spice stuff. More pie for me Woman Wink

Re: Pumpkin Spice Foods, Ranked From Horrific To Absolutely Delicious

There are alot of pumpkin spice items I don't like at all (some listed in that list of good ones, lol) and some I have no desire to try. I love pumpkin spiced lattes at SOME places, some they are horrible.

Both my husband and I surprisingly like the pumpkin cornbread at Trader Joes. I did not expect to like it as well but even more surprising is that my husband liked it better than their regular cornbread, which he really likes. He is not really into pumpkin spice anything.

I do like the pumpkin spice Thomas english muffins but rarely do I eat things like that.

I think I might like to try that Ben and Jerry's pumpkin cheescake ice cream but that could go either way- some pumpkin cheescake is good, some is awful.

Mostly I stick with my pumpkin spice latte and homemade pumpkin nut bread, sometimes made with just a few bits of dark chocolate thrown into it (just a little, I like it mostly pumpkin with a hint of the chocolate)

I LOVE Fall!

Hi Happy Daze,

I agree with you.  There are many pumpkin things I like, but there are also products that imo are terrible tasting.

I've always loved pumpkin lattes at Starbucks, but the last one I had was awful, it tasted like chemicals.

Oh I KNOW!!! THe Starbucks one were my absolutely favorite- until I got an awful one! Now it seems they are hit and miss. Some of those "baristas" do NOT know how to make them! I actually return them now if they are bad. I am not wasting that kind of money on a disgusting chemical drink. I hope they didn't change the formula of their PS syrup...

I am going to try one if they come out at this one coffee shop I recently discover and LOVED every drink I've tried (they REALLY know how to  make good coffee, even makes those fancy designs on top, lol!).

I hope the new place is wonderful!  I'd like to find one like that.  Probably downtown, but I'm not going there just for a latte Smiley Happy

I hear ya- I am not a fan of going downtown where it is busy just to find some good grub or a good cup of joe. That is why I was sooooo happy to find this little place that is on an old main street of a town outside of the big city. It is such a cozy place with friendly people, GREAT coffee and GREAT homemade pastries (the cheese brioche is to.die.for). I can't believe it took me all these years to find a place like that not in the city. One of those hidden treasures. Smiley Happy

I saw Pumpkin cookies from Peppridge Farms in a store the other day, I think those are new.  I had pumpkin spice flavor shot in my coffee, it was pretty tasty.

Re: Pumpkin Spice Foods, Ranked From Horrific To Absolutely Delicious

It's actually cool here this morning so I thought I'd try a pumpkin latte. I've always looked forward to them but either my taste buds have changed or the guy had  no idea what he was doing.  After sip #3, it went into the garbage.  I think that's it for me and pumpkin until Thanksgiving.
