Re: Pumice powder

Yes, I use it for general household cleaning and occasionally I use it as an exfoliant for mostly on my feet and legs. My skin gets rough and scaly in those areas especially during the dry winter months. I think it would be too harsh to use on the face. I also brush my teeth with it on occasion....removes stains like nothing else.

IF you have any enamel left on your stain-free teeth, I'm sure they'll be loaded with cavities. I tried something like this years ago and I'm giving you the benefit of my very expensive mistake.

Pumice is the active ingredient in many facial exfoliators, including Dr Denese and Mad Hippie in their microdermabrasion creams.  I have used it for this, but I find it does not rinse off well.

Fine grit is used for teeth and you don't want to use it very often. I use it on my teeth maybe a couple times a year. My dental hygienist does a great job of cleaning my teeth so I have very little staining.

Pumice powder can be mixed with any cleaning product used on durable surfaces. Not on wood, plastic, fiberglass or anything made of stainless steel. However, I do use it to clean my stainless steel sink but that's all as far as steel things in my kitchen.  Pumice won't scratch glass, ceramic, enameled pots/pans/oven or porcelain so you can use it on your glass cook-top, sinks and tubs.

I use Bar Keepers Friend for cleaning a ton of things in my kitchen, very gentle, yet highly effective, contains Oxalic Acid. Similar to Comet in what it can clean, but non abrasive and non bleach.  It works great as an oven cleaner.
