Re: Public Restrooms routines

I am very careful not to touch anything. Those bodily wastes are biohazards. If someone is ill then your chances to get sick are greater too if you are exposed.I always wash my hands as soon as I get home after being out.I also change and wash all of my clothes if I have used public transportation.

Are You Covering Yourself in Germs Every Time You Flush

the Toilet?

I worry about Toilet Plume in public restrooms without lids.

Before I flush I hold my breath and make a mad dash out.

@MorningLover LOL.I try to do that too.It is frustrating when there is an auto flush toilet and I have to make a run for the door before I am ready to debut.

If they have a waste bin I use it and if not...the person that is supposed to clean will...clean!

@c_la_vee

Do you do a big hair flip after you close the restroom door?

LOL!

It seems inconsiderate and wasteful to use all that paper in a restroom, not to mention the affect on our environment. More and more businesses are eliminating hand towels, some eliminating public restrooms altogether. I don't blame them.

I hate it when the auto flush happens before I'm done.

Re: Public Restrooms routines

When I go in a public restroom, I size up the stall I might be going into.... I've been known to walk out & just hold it because some women are so nasty & don't clean up after themselves or even flush.. know what I mean jellybeans?

I look, go and wash hands thoroughly- and if there's a restroom attendant (like at DisneyWorld) I always, always thank them for cleaning up after so many sloppy, nasty women.  Why just throw your paper towel in the floor or leave your nastiness for someone else to clean up?

To temp disable the
"Auto-Flush" take a doubled sheet TP and drape it over the sensor.  Yank it off when you are done and get the he# out of there...yeah that vacu-flush-o-matic spews a lot of germs and sometimes you see the droplets on the seat and they aren't clear water...

a lot of people "Build a Nest" when they go...have known guys who do this, they would rather die than have to use the publoc potty

Re: Public Restrooms routines

First, I've never been in a public or private bathroom that had napkins.  No I don't obssess like that.  Good grief, if I went through all that I'd end up peeing myself.  I don't hang out in public restrooms, I do my business quickly and get out.  I don't sit on the toilet seat, I squat or hover.  Most public bathrooms have that auto flush but if I'm in an old one, I put a wad ot toilet paper in my hand and flush.  I wash my hands with hot soap and water and leave.  Most bathrooms have hot air hand dryers.  When I get back to my seat, I use some of my hand sanitizer.  Generally, I don't use bathrooms on planes.  If it's a long flight, I don't eat solid food for 2 days before our flight and I don't drink anything 24hrs before, just litle sips of water.  I pee before I get on the plane and I'll be fine for the next 7 hours.   I know my body.  It's no such the condition of the bathrooms on the planes, it's the lines that I don't like and I have always had a silly irrational fear of being locked in one.  They say the germiest, dirtiest things we touch all day are own phones and our keyboards....
