You cannot go wrong with a skirt with a blouse or a dress.  I don't think anyone wears hose anymore.

@colliegirls  They do.  I work in a legal environment & women being interviewed dress very conservatively, & I've noticed that they always wear hose when they're wearing dress or skirt.

I suppose some do and some don't.  I have a few friends who are attorneys and they do not wear hose.

Depends on the law practice.  If they are corporate lawyers, they are likely needing hosiery and suits.

Do you think it's okay to not wear jacket? Open toed shoes? Panty hose, are they still required?

All of the above is okay for any job interview.  Do people even still WEAR pantyhose?

Absolutely.  I work in the legal field.  I see female attorneys at the courthouse all the time, all in hose.

Plenty good advice here.

Wanted to post to @NativeJax, I remember your previous threads. Hope you're doing well. Best of luck with the interview. 👍

Closed toed shoes and a jacket...yes.

Pantyhose...no.   Not where I live.  You will look like an old lady, and old ladies don't get hired for jobs where there are so many young lady applicants.

Just want to say, I've been spending a lot of time in law offices lately.  The ladies there don't wear hose....maybe they do when they appear in court.  Haven't gotten to that stage, yet.

If you're going to law firms and seeing women w/o hosiery, I would not hire them for a thing.

Wearing hosiery does not make a woman look old.  Thank goodness they still make all kinds.

I will not judge their legal skills on whether or not they wear panty hose.

What do the male attorneys wear?  Does anyone scrutinize them as closely as they do the women?  Why are women always so criticized?

@september as stated above by @tedEbear, the male attorneys are wearing suits, long sleeve shirts, and ties. Their shoes are shined. Men are also scrutinized.

I will.  Employers judge you on your attire, so should the public you serve.  Male attorneys in corporate settings wear suits and ties.  I'm not trying to criticize women.  I'm a woman for crying out loud.  In CORPORATE and LAW OFFICE settings (Firms) the women should be wearing hosiery. Even in your county's D.A.'s office a female attorney is likely to wear hosiery.

People need to remember that different areas of the country differ regarding what is acceptable in the workplace. September is correct. Pantyhose are very seldom seen in offices in the Southwest and Southern California. They are primarily only still worn by more elderly women.

This is a geographically huge country and what is deemed "unacceptable" in one area of the country isn't necessarily the same in another.

If I were looking for an attorney to hire, I would be far more concerned about her qualifications and experience than I would be about whether she had nylon encasing her legs.
