Re: Professional or not?

[ Edited ]

Well, GenX saved the day! While GenZ did nothing for four days, me and my fellow GenX new hire outsmarted the system and got him hired.

I'm debating how strong an email I want to send to her today.

I think I am going to wait for her to "update" me on her escalation (not holdling my breath) and let her hang herself before I express my Smiley Sad at her non-response to my employer's issue.

Smiley Mad incoming...

Some believe that what they like is universally a good thing. Not everyone finds emojis cute, friendly, appealing  just as not everyone wants hugs from acquaintances and virtual strangers.

No one is going to think less of you if you don't add an emoji or don't invade their space to hug them, so prudent to avoid both.

My boss walked in today throwing heart hands and saying good morning to me his BFF. Smiley LOL

We are going to be milking this through Summer 2026. Smiley Very Happy

@tansy Me too. My youngest daughter and I can text each other just using emoji. Shorthand. But I will admit to being juvenile and too lazy to use sentences at times. I don't think I would ever use them in a business setting though.

@foxywoods It means something else in Italian and, no, it's not hello.
