No, I don't believe the Pro Boards are a scam. I think they're just fine. I've never had trouble on them. If you think they're a scam, then don't sign on them.

i am not having any issues getting into the proboards site.

@Pearlee, are you using a VPN?  That will keep you from logging in.  If not, try resetting your router.  That should give you a new IP address in case yours is somehow blocked, but I think you would get a notice that Proboards had blocked your IP Address when trying to sign in if either is the case.  You have not been blocked. Don't forget that you use a different spelling from over here.

@Icegoddess   I don't know what a VPN is. My only 'net access is thru my Smartphone, so no router.  I use a stored sign-in so it's always stored with the same spelling.  I have shut my phone off and turned it back on but that hasn't helped.

I get "this page isn't working. Mellyg board sent an invalid response."

@Pearlee

That may be the problem.  While I don't store my passwords, I did use an automatic sign in for my user name the other day and it wouldn't recognize it.  Kept saying it was wrong, when it wasn't.

When I actually typed the same username in myself, it went through immediately.

@Pearlee , so to be clear, you are using your data plan on your phone and not wifi?

I log in using my E-mail.  Have you tried that?

@Icegoddess  @geezerette 's suggestion worked. I didn't use my auto log-in.

Yes, no WiFi just my phone.

Just now, I was on the ProBoards when the screen went blank and the message is as follows; "Safari can't establish a secure connection...".  Then my Norton icon showed up?!?  What the heck?!?

@BornToShop This has happened to me a number of times and I'm on Edge.   I cannot do anything but X out of the board and log back in.

I generally get the McAfee pop up a few times before that happens to me.

If you can't access this board how can you post this message 🤔

@Pearlee @CrazyDaisy I saw another poster on Among Friends say that she had a hard time getting on here this morning.

It's a legitimate site and I participate. I still like the format here better. I wonder if their moderators have been given background checks. I hate seeing my email address everytime I sign on (don't want more scam emails). I also don't like that they asked for my birthday, because I've read you shouldn't post that on social media. Granted, I don't know how QVC selects their moderators so I hope all involved are good people.

@AuntG

Do you mean you're seeing your email address when you sign on to ProBoards?  Are you accessing the forum directly or through the main PB site?  I only need my username and password to access q forum friends.  You might want to check your Settings to see if they're set for the level of privacy you want.

Or message a moderator about your concern.

I have never seen my email address when I sign on.

Nor do I. But I go directly to q forum friends, which I have bookmarked.
