Outdoor, "feral" cat had her kittens on our screen-in porch this morning. First litter for her, she is only a year old, very slender and fine-boned. In this heat wave, I know that she will need water--she is panting so much--but refuses water when I hold a container near her. I think there are 5 kittens. Don't want to scare her away, but am worried about Mom in this heat.Already have kitten chow to feed her. Any suggestions for care that I should heed? thank you so much for your help. She has let us touch her in the past, so we have a little relationship already. We feed and water her daily.
