Some posters here getting the political posts in, even in a thread about Prince George's artwork..really?

Making a clearly political reference, then saying you can't explain it because it's political, doesn't make your original post not political.

Is this someone who works in the government or is trying to get a clearance? Nepotism, maybe? No idea why Hunter was brought up or what he has to do with Prince George. By the looks of another post, King Charles is Hunters grandfather.

I'm having an eggnog and southern comfort, now.

Surely he can draw better than Hunter!

@Jo1313

Beg pardon ... what does this snark have to do w/ current topic?

Not getting political..just stating a fact..

Everyone has their own opinion.

@Jo1313

The discussion concerns Prince George and his artistic talents. And you did bring trite political snark into a thread about a small child.

The fact that so many topics devolve into politics is sad and deploranble.

I did not find @Jo1313  's post and comment snarky at all.  She was making an apt reference to another 'political' son who has also recently been in the news for his artwork.  She made a lighthearted comparison.  I think some are being overly sensitive about this.    Surely, he is not really 'the one who cannot be named'?  or is he .....

He is talented. Advanced for a 9-year-old. What a great outlet for him if he keeps it up. Drawing and painting is so relaxing

Rubbish.  This poster knew exactly what s(he) was saying.  It wasn't lighthearted.  It was a cheap shot.

@Venezia We'll have to disagree.  I found it lighthearted and detected no snark.  I did not say the child was a 'political' figure, I said the connection being made is that the artists she referenced are both the sons of current 'political' figures -  perhaps better to have said prominent figures.

I have a grandson who turned 9 last week; he has done some amazing pictures all by himself, so I think PG could do a drawing like that with little, if any, help....having seen artwork since he was born in the places he has lived has certainly given him exposure to all kinds of art. Seeing his grandfather painting or drawing has to leave an impression on him as well. He is talented and I hope he gets the encouragement he needs to build on his art talent.

Re: Prince George’s artwork

The more comments made about the so-called snark, the more likely the entire thread will be shut down. I still don't know why any reference to Harry's book has been deleted and inquiring about it gets the inquiry deleted as well. Focus on Prince George's art and leave it at that.
