I'm not sure if this is okay to post but I'll give it a try. I wanted to give a heads up to Amazon Prime members. Don't forget July 12th is Prime Day.

As long as you don't post a link to the site, the thread is fine.  I don't remember this in previous years, but maybe I just wasn't paying attention.  Is it a true sale or are there featured items?

Amazon will offer over 100,000 deals exclusively for Prime members. They are posted as often as every 5 minutes. If you go to their website there's an explanation and they are offering what are called "countdown deals".

I am a Prime member now, but wasn't when they had the first Prime Day last year.

According to the media, based on customer comments and reaction, last year was a lotta hoopla but not much "good stuff" for the average person. Anything really good was like Black Friday - they have 5 and when they're gone they're gone. A lot of people said it didn't seem to them like any big deal and they felt it was a big bust, and the media reported this. I remember thinking "looks like I didn't miss much."

Hopefully, in the intervening year they will have changed some things at least so that more members are able to feel they got a good deal in something they actually wanted.

I'll give it a peek, but am so not going to stay glued to the iPad all day waiting for a Big Deal.

I picked up a few things last year, just as I got some good Black Friday deals this last year. 

I'm not expecting too much, but a good buy here or there is fine with me.

I found a Samsung 8" tablet for a great price on the 4th. I got some good deals last year on Black Friday.
