As a gadget gal & OXO's mistress, I am always checking out their website for *new* kitchen gadgets & ran across this......

I have loved my Thermoworks Thermapen for decades. It is one of the most important tools in my kitchen. I think I paid $80 for it many years ago.

Same here, so worth it.

Ouchie! I also love OXO and have so many products from that brand. I don't think I do enough of that type of cooking anymore to want to pay a hundred bucks for a thermometer, however.
Their products, in my experience, have always been great quality and made so specifically for their uses. My OXO jar opener is probably one of my favs but I do have many favs from OXO.

Another vote for Thermoworks. They stand behind what they sell, as long as it's sold on their site. Good stuff. Sign up and you'll get notices of discounts, open box sales, etc.

FYI...............
Mz iMac, the price ot the OXO Good Grips Thermometer is in line with King Arthur. Since my initial response was "axed" by mods, check out their website. The price you are showing is in line with competitiors.

I agree that I'm surprised at the prices of some things these days. I'm sure it's probably worth it for the dedicated cook, but I have mostly resorted to either opening a bag or box so I have no need for some items. I looked in a local BB&B store yesterday at the Oxo products, and thought their new salt & pepper set with a pour spout looked interesting (at $15), but didn't buy. I also looked at all the new lighted makeup mirrors with 10X magnification. Looked in one and went YIKES! that mirror makes me look bad, then realized at 71 yrs old, it wasn't the mirrors fault, however, I'm not going to pay $299 to look bad!

Got it awhile ago, and love it. Bought it at Amazon, use it real often.

@bonappetitThe red one for $103?
A few months ago I purchased this OXO leave in meat oven thermometer from BBB which cost a total of $5.20 after discount.
I love it because of the large print as well it goes right in the oven w/the meat.
