When did QVC go to previously recorded programming? I woke up in the night and Albany was on with Vitamix and a Pilates show. There was the program again this morning. QVC always prided itself on "live" broadcasts. I guess the Vitamix is the same old/same old every hour so may as well record one program. I also remember when QVC had everything in their warehouse in stock as well. Changes, but never tackle their high shipping rates.

With no more variety than they have had lately they could record most of their shows for repeat. Sad, but true.

I don't know about QVC but I have noticed that HSN is not live all night long, when I can't sleep and turn the tv on HSN has the words previously recorded on the screen...I am not sure what hours they are not live.

Shop HQ isn't live all night either.

I don't have a problem with recorded programs, as long as it is not being presented as live when it is not. The hosts might be fresher if they were not juggling hours.

The middle of the night is usually for the new and training hosts isn't it?

I noticed this weeks ago. It's interesting because I notice threads pop up in this forum regarding shows I missed. Now, a simple change of the channel will allow you to see the show referenced on a thread.

I do think it could cause issues with "sellouts" etc.

Otherwise, while it may be a good idea, there could be more serious implications. QVC may ultimately need "fewer" hosts.

According to the business reports, the forecast for this industry isn't good.

Online shopping is expected to take over en masse rendering live shopping channels obsolete.

Looks like Lisa got out in time.

I thought this was the function of QPlus. Maybe they won't be replacing Lisa as the overnight hosts can work more day hours.

I really doubt a huge audience is watching at say 2AM in the morning... it saves money for them to run repeats... most of the shopping channels do it now. I find nothing wrong with it.
