The first fire.... the Doce fire .... is over 90 percent contained. No fatalities. Almost 7000 acres were destroyed. This was NW of Prescott.
Today SW of Prescott another fire has started ... the Yarnell fire... and over 250 structures have been wiped out and 2000 acres are already burned. The Prescott "hot shots" in their fire dept may be dead. 18- 20 firefighters may be lost in this fire and this is only the first day. That is what is being reported at this time. This area has had a drought for over 10 years. These fires are so awful.
