@geezerette @cowboy sam @PamfromCT @4kitties @Yahooey and all of ❤️Preds friends. Woke up to 36 degrees and supposed to to be 24 tomorrow morning. Yikes. Another change to deal with.
Y'all ready for Thanksgiving or have any special plans? I ordered 2 whole cooked turkey's from Honey Baked ham and scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Thankfully just us for Thanksgiving but we always have a bachelor church friend for Christmas. DH always insist on turkey and ham for Christmas. Hopefully we will go to the commissary this week to purchase the ham. Excited to test my "new eye " shopping.

Enjoy your week.🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

You're getting a head start on Thanksgiving!  It's hard to believe it's only a few weeks away.

It's sounds like you're going to have a feast for both holidays! 😋

@geezerette : Thank you. Considering my next eye surgery is the 18th and told to wait a week before resuming regular schedule. I didn't feel great in September but so relieved that I pushed myself to get a lot done. Then December 1st the colonoscopy but praying 🙏 to start the New Year with less medical issues.

I am cold and ready for another cup of coffee cause it's 39 degrees.

How are you doing and what is the weather in your area?🙏❤️❤️❤️

How is your new bionic eye doing?  My husband had his cataracts removed many years ago and said the worst part was the time between the first eye and the second eye, when one was fixed and one wasn't.  That must be odd.  But a few more days and you'll be able to see like an eagle with both eyes! 👀😊

Well, you do have a busy medical schedule before the holidays, so you are smart to get everything done beforehand that you can.

@geezerette : Thanks . Very interesting because everything looks so different when focusing to the right but moving for the left eye to look: Everything is blurry.

Widow friend called and stated she is available to take me for the second surgery because she knew DH isn't feeling great. I told her to bring a rope to pull me to the car. She stated she totally understands. Stated when they  took me to her car: The way that I looked: she knew something had happened.I told her that I was still having nightmares about the surgery: didn't like the experience but relieved about the great results.

My other friend that had the cataract surgery, stated she only remembered the bright lights during surgery. Stated her second surgery she was probably given less anesthesia and aware of more things but nothing like what I experienced. She stated she is happy with her results and that she is relieved everything is finished. She has to use readers for her arts and craft projects.
So different with me not wearing glasses.

Looking forward to purchasing a different pair of sun glasses instead of the one to fit over regular glasses.

Enjoy your day.❤️🙏🙏

Yes, I imagine you're not looking forward to the actual surgical process again, but now that you have an idea of what it's like it shouldn't be quite as scary as the unknown was the first time.  And knowing how well the first eye turned out and how much better you can see already, you can be brave  and go through the next one. 💪

That's very nice that your friend is willing and able to take you and make sure you're ok and get you home in one piece! 😄

I'm sorry to hear that DH isn't feeling well.  Please don't overdo trying to care for him while you need to watch your activities in regards to the safety of your eye.

@geezerette : Thank you. Totally agree. Today was good because I started the schedule for just 2 times daily for the surgical eye drops.
DH pcp office just called to schedule his annual physical. I requested since he has a follow up appointment in January to do it. She asked why: I explained why and we both have a lot of appointments in December. She finally agreed.

I am being lazy. Only doing enough laundry for my 3 appointments next week and calling DH to remove items from dryer to keep me from bending over.
Waiting for another pay check to finish my Christmas shopping and only need to purchase 3 gifts. I have already wrapped my SIL gifts : long denim skirt and two tops. She will be disappointed because I decided not to  bake cookies or cakes for her. She was already hinting what she wanted. I replied no extra stuff because of all our medical appointments and test for December. She does a lot of stuff for us but we pay her and give extra gas money for her truck.

I am so relieved that earlier this year reduced our gift

Oh, you have the perfect excuse not to bake for SIL this holiday season--your eye surgeries!  You can't be bending over or doing anything strenuous like mixing or even keeping your head down for too long.  Just very simple and truthful.

Nice that your eye drop schedule has been reduced.  Pretty soon you'll be back doing them all again for the other eye, so enjoy while you can.  You've been great about being diligent with them which is important because they're your eyes!

The doctor's offices prefer separate appointments so they can bill that way, but good for you standing your ground to make it convenient for you and DH. Having to go for an extra appointment right now is a hardship for you both.  I'm glad you were able to get it to your advantage.

And good for you for putting your foot down with everyone this holiday season that you will only be doing the basics because of your medical needs right now.  You're still doing a lot as it is!

@geezerette : Thanks for understanding. I know a lot of people are struggling and now the thoughts of dealing with the holiday stress and expenses. I always thought that people put to much emphasis on striving for the perfect holiday or maybe better that what they had. My brother was always jealous of our cousins that lived in the same neighborhood and had a bigger and better variety of Christmas gifts. In reality: I knew we were the happier family, Mom and BigMama was the best cooks and gave us what we needed. I treasure the precious memories.
