we have been having a lot of thunderstorms - high heat + humidity for us

i know in other parts of the country - it is downright cool at 90 degrees

starting tomorrow and maybe lasting a whole week

we are gettting on and off rain - shower - thunderstorms but temps are going to hover at high 70s or low 80s

hoping the plants that were yellowing will be getting a break and can survive

my lunch today - BBT - bacon - brie and (t)maters

it was worth the effort - making sauce tomorrow as most of the harvest is in

hoping the plants can put out new growth over the period of cooler temps next week

ai would have lubs to maks u awl a sandwich

@geezerette : Thank you for the information and suggestions.

DH has started to pick up his fast food . Today his order was $27 if delivered $47. Lately he hasn't felt like getting out on Sunday and the price is between $47 and $58.

He is doing a lot of different things and worn out but will not do grocery pick up.

I have decide that I need to ignore my pain and just do what is necessary. My microwave is above my cook top. It hurts to stretch and try to put in or take out of the microwave. I was researching yesterday to see if the small frozen entrees could be heated up in my air fryer. I am thinking about the frozen chicken you mentioned: doing this in the air fryer with frozen vegetables and making the salad. I can do sweet potatoes and boil eggs for extra protein. Just need to decide and get busy.

@SouthernBee

That's a shame that DH can't do grocery pickups as it would be so much cheaper I think.  Oh well, you just have to do the best you can with what you have.

As far as the microwave goes, I know that Walmart has small countertop units for well under $100.  Yes, I realize you already have one, even thought it's not reachable for you, and it would require using counter space or a small table in your smallish kitchen.  But you may consider it.  The more you can do on your own, the better off you are.  Not only does it help to keep you mobile (even though it may be painful), it relieves your DH from some of the extra duties he's taken on.

I'm sure you'll come up with some viable workarounds because you are one smart and determined lady! 💪❤️
