@PamfromCT : Thank you for asking and caring. I have appointment with the orthopedic doctor 7\31 and the cardiologist on 8\1.

I am concerned about the weight and doing the best I can. My endocrinologist stated to cut back and try but for now focus on the leg and feet swelling  and get help and solution for that, and should help with some of the weight problem.

I normally eat lunch between 11 and 2 and a light meal or snack at night. Trying to eat a lot of salad filled with protein and vegetable plates. Yesterday, the vegetable plate included pinto beans, green beans and one small piece of corn bread and no butter. Last night a small bowl of potato salad and a few crackers. I have two apples and need to order more groceries which includes a lot of fresh fruit since I am not able to cook.

I have the cubi Jr 2 for exercise. The orthopedic doctor said this was good but don't over do it and put a pillow behind my lower back.

@cowboy sam

yes that is a jade plant i got as a wedding favor

you got to pick ur own succulent

i picked the jade and after a while - i repotted

i honestly dont know how fast it grows

but they aren't sprouting leafy greens as other plants

i keep touching it to see if it needs water

i plopped it in a container of water and wait until it got its fill of it

i used to water from the top and the water runs through and the leaves were still bendy

now bottom watering - it does much better

how long have you had urs and how do you water?

@Yahooey

My grandaughter gave me a start from one of hers...she cut it,dipped it into something  and put it into a clear glass tube type vase  and i kept it in that vase for a few months...maybe last fall?

I kept checking its roots  plus growth  and finally put it into a clay pot with outside dirt.

Now early spring i empyted dirt out of pot   and used , instead

Miracle-Gro brand

for succulents

catus.palm&citrus potting mix.

Fast draniing mix.

I have had it maybe a year?  I now have 2 new leaves on tip (top) of my plant.

@SouthernBee, I am sorry you have to wait so long to see a cardiologist.  We do have a serious shortage of doctors in our country right now.  But so glad to see you are doing well.  I think of you and worry!

Sunday..after i got home from lunch out....

new neighbor had a tree trimmer in back of his house...part of tree broke off onto his roof  or  on back of his house!Smiley Sad  from heavy rain/wind...everything has been so dry before these t-storms came through Sat-Sunday

Neighbor across from me had a huge branch   in back yard that fell into new new neighbors yard....no damage to anything...not close to houses.

More T- storms  last night after dark after dark  ,,, was lot of lightning bolts  ,wind  and heavy rain when i went to bed around 11pm...had trouble sleeping!

Walked out and checked my yard...at 6:30am..this morning-Monday..no damage to  my house.Smiley Very Happy...

walked in wet  grass to way back in yard  and picked up branches  and twigs!

Not sure how my other neighbors  around my block  or nearby streets had any damage from  wind&heavy rain trees,etc.

We have a heat advisory for our state today! high of 90! now at 7-30am  and 70 degrees!

ok//another round of "heavy rain" starting around 4=5 pm  and beyond  my cell phone weather  advised me!  the heavy rain is causing parts of  dry or dead trees to fall off

My weather alert radio is full of static...so tower must have been knocked out  away from my town.....but my Fire&Amb. scanner is working...so i can still get weather alerts  plus tv!

so all is ok for me!Smiley Happy

Hi @cowboy sam ....Relieved to hear that you and neighbors did not experience serious damage during the heavy storms....This has been one heck of a Summer and we still have a couple of months to get through...Just stay safe and take good care...don't go out in this heat...have your favorite "munchies"...and maybe your neighbor, son or daughter can come over to keep you company for a while.

I'm cat-sitting for a neighbor who left for Ireland for a week...She has two adorable cats, so I will be taking care of them while she is away...They excitedly greet me when I go over and probably "mew" to each other..."Oh goody, here comes dat gullible hoomin again"...LOL

Have to run some errands and am planning on having a shrimp salad with corn-on-the cob tonight when my husband gets home.
