Had to bite my tongue when you mentioned Okra. Cannot eat that GREEN vegetable, but love white butter beans.

Very light eater, and what I have been through losing 18 lbs was not good for my tiny frame as is and has been.

I did learn to make my 1st cornbread recipe last year.

Thus far, not another one from scratch.

I am eating quite well with nutrition 100% as my selections. Homemade soups twice a day is all that I can handle.

We had a loss in our family when our sweet Sashay died April 22nd. She was almost 14 years old. It hurt to the inner soul of my being.

Death takes a long time while dealing of an sudden void so intense as ours.

Stay well and I will note others that I have known for 12 years. I have viewed only a few of the posters, finding many not here.

Over the years many have become unable, many of everyone's friends have gone for different reasons, then some have  unfortunately passed away.

Oh John, our friend in Ortho medical teaching that we both know, I believe has a new life ....that is good.

Were you ever trying to locate her upon concern about her health? Becky.  John it is great of you to address posters of your experiences with health issues. You can explain how you, over the years, survived with patience and a drive to go forward. Never will forget your story 8 years ago as you east on a bench watching children eating ice cream.

@cowboy sam : Very frustrating deal with bank changes and all the inconvenience. Be careful and stay cool.♥️🤗🥤🥤🥤🥤🥤🥤🥤🥤🥤. I will post more later but been on phone with cable company trying to reset the whole house WiFi system and hopefully finally resolved issues with the WiFi constantly dropping on my IPad. I have talked with Apple and they checked the IPad stated had to be connecting issues with cable company and equipment but of course the cable company insist it is issues with the IPad..... tired of the problem and going in circles and feels like I am trapped in The Twilight Zone.😳🤷‍♀️

Good luck with the cable company.  They are so frustrating to deal with.  What a pain that the wifi is dropping.

Was close to 70,humid but sunny  and i kept thinking

WWPD ?

So,i took my purse and cane and walked uptown to 😡 bank    for 3d time   to complain nicely that i needed my checks ordered with only my name on them!

Ashley, who i  had helped me in the past ....told me she was sorry about daughters name on them  but then told me i could use them as her name wasn't on any of my accounts....😡

i "polietly" told her No!

as" if" i did and any creditors were after my daughter they  would come after me...her reply was ok.

After i left bank i crossed the street to go to a gas station/convienece store

to buy a 2 liter bottle of reg. Coke...they had them 2 for $5.00...but there were containers blocking the shelf plus they were on top shelf!

So i walked towards 2 ladies stocking shelves

One   asked if she could help me.?..

she had to move stacked containers to reach up on top shelf to get me my 2 bottles.

Walking home was not good! Humidity, etc plus carrying my cane and 2 bottles of coke,,,,i stopped a few times in the shade to rest...but i did it!Smiley Very Happy

Staying in and resting and drinking a cold glass of coke rest of the day!

@cowboy sam

I hope they straighten out your checks once and for all.  So frustrating to deal with.

It was very humid yesterday.  Those bottles are heavy!

ai kneeds ur help pls - being a detective

i came home and saw partial eaten cherry toamtoes on the paver walkway

huh??? many have dropped to the ground - end of season and the rain

but it was pulled apart - a critter???

as i walked around - i saw cherry tomato skins on the tomato leaves

something was perched on top and peeled the tomato?

what has the dexterity to pull the skin off? it was in sheets so it wasn't eaten & spit out

this is the first time i have seen this which means if that critter likes it

it will be back again...

@Yahooey

Maybe a raccoon?  Why would something peel the skin off and not eat it?  Thats so strange.

lol - the peels are off and they ate the insides

what has thumbs? squirrels? - i see those and birds but not raccoons -

dink i saw opossum once - thought it was the other until i saw skin - yikes - skeered

more skins yesterday afternoon

QUESTION - what constitute a skin or a peel

i know orange, lemon and citrus are peels bc u zest it

off to knitting today - last of the sessions although some say - they will come and others can just hang out - which might be nice - but u gotta bring ur own knitting

mine dont leave - i cant keep track of the pattern - etc

i also dont have anything being done at the moment either

we shall see

I don't know if squirrels have thumbs?  They probably can peel tomatoes.  They're crafty little fellas.

Opossums scare me.  They have razor sharp teeth.  Yikes.

Have fun knitting.  Sounds so fun to just sit in the park and knit.  I would just walk around being nosey at all the beautiful things people are making.  LOL
