@Bri369

Sorry to hear about your father's problem, but glad that it sounds like it's taken care of now.  Why do these things have to go on in the middle of the night?😡

As @SouthernBee said, it's hard dealing with parents when they're at that stage.  And sometimes even harder dealing with siblings.  I didn't have the problems of which you speak, both my parents and siblings were very cooperative, but it still was difficult and frustrating at times.

I can't say that I blame your father--I wouldn't want to go to the ER either, but in the end it could have been something much worse.  He'll probably feel much better now.

My sister was a bit like yours, but as you say, you can be grateful for what she does with your dad.  It sounds like you'll have to continue being the voice of reason, even if you have to have a loud voice if necessary!  I think in these situations we all tend to fall into certain roles, and your role seems to be enforcer!💪

Hang in there.❤️

Good Morning, everyone.

I finally got my internet back last night.  I had to jump through hoops after it went out during a storm earlier in the week.  Some weird thing happened to my router and I ended up having to not only disconnect its power, but disconnect to my internet source.  Which meant I had to go through all the steps to sign back into it like it was a brand new router.  Sheesh!

I hate when stuff like that happens.  I don't understand all that rigmarole.  Heck, my mind barely functions anymore with things I do understand! 😂

It's going to start getting hot here tomorrow and next week.  At least it won't be raining for a change.  And the a/c will be on and I'll be hiding inside.🥶

Hope everyone has a good weekend!❤️

@cowboy sam : Good Morning. It will be another very hot day. I am getting ready to start cooking this morning for today and tomorrow. Today's menu per DH request: Hot dogs with chili and baked beans. So thankful that I have some chili in the freezer. Tomorrow's menu: A small spiral sliced ham with brown sugar glaze, potato salad, deviled eggs and corn on the cob. I will do everything today except the ham. DH likes his ham served warm and I will put it in the pressure cooker tomorrow. This time of year my preference is a large homemade salad with grilled chicken . DH will eat a small salad but not a big salad for a meal. Stay safe and cool.🥤🥤🥤🥤🥤🥤🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥓🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️🤗♥️🙏.

@geezerette : That is really frustrating but hope the problem is solved. It is fun to have the tech toys but frustrating to deal with the problems. I have a note book  and folder in the den for my iPad tips or whatever and note book and folder for our cell phones. Last week had to put note books and folders in the family room for the tv, DVD player , and music system because I can't remember all the stuff. Plus took pictures with my cell phone of the back of each unit how everything is connected. When DH isn't home will make copies of the pictures and put in each notebook and folder. He gets upset and says the printer ink is too expensive but I am the one that purchases the ink for him🤷‍♀️😳😁 plus the paper. Stay safe and enjoy your weekend.

@SouthernBee

The pictures of how everything is connected is a great idea!💡👍

I have a little notebook for all my websites and their passwords.  I make my passwords complicated (so hopefully they won't get easily hacked) and there's no way I can remember them.  But this silly router has three different passwords to get through!  I hope it's fixed for good, but if it happens again I'm buying a new router.  I can't be bothering the internet company everytime my power flickers off.

I can sympathize with your DH thinking the printer ink is expensive--I think so too, but what isn't nowadays?  I don't print much at all now, but I like to have one in case I need to print a return label since so many places aren't including them anymore.  Like QVC!  But I've cut my buying down a lot so hopefully I won't have the problems some do.

Hope you and DH have a nice Saturday!🌺

😂
I need to do that to the bunnies around here so my dog doesn't chase them into the woods.  She disappears and comes out a mess!😡

I live in the country, so yes, lots of critters.  Squirrels, bunnies--big and small.  Possums, armadillos, and skunks too.🤧  Deer having babies right now.  And coyotes looking for the babies' hiding spots.😠

Big doggie--Rottweiler.  She runs after anything that runs away from her.  If it stands still and doesn't run she's afraid of it.😂
