It really, really is.  It takes a special person to deal with that.  Some of the stories are so heartbreaking.  

She was interning at a place that dealt with a lot of teens, really tough home lives, little to no support - she told me that one of the kids she was working with always looked forward to their meetings because that was the only smile she would get all day.  Can you imagine

@Bri369 : Yes- I can imagine and understand. I am a retired social worker. I worked for the state with a very huge caseload and to much restrictions and paperwork to really flee like the people were getting the individual help and attention that they desperately needed and deserved. I will be praying that your daughters work environment will be different and supportive that she can see and know the difference she has made.🤗❤️🙏

I had no idea you are a retired social worker.  You said you had a very stressful job, now I know why.

It's an amazing profession.  You are a very special person.  But we already knew that

@Bri369 :Thank you for your kind words. I applied for several different jobs and didn't want to be a social worker. God had different plans. He took care of me. I was able to retire with a comfortable income and benefits. I had to disable retire in 2000  at the age of 45 with  20 years of service. I still occasionally have nightmares about my job. I truely am thankful and count my blessings every day. I am determined to continue to enjoy and celebrate my retirement. 🤗❤️
