@Yahooey ...Wow, those jello eggs are quite different and that lemon tart is perfection...You and your family are quite artistic with your cooking skills ...You definitely enjoy it very much...I'm just a boring basic cook but a good one. Cat Happy

@Bri369 ...Your Easter dinner sounds yummy also...LOL at cookie tray that just happened to fall into your hands at bakery.

@cowboy sam ...So you are a golf fan!...The only time I was ever interested in golf was when Greg Norman (The Shark) would be playing...He caught my eye one time when I happened to pass by DH who was watching a tournament at the time...I stopped in my tracks and squealed to DH...."Who is that hunk?"...LOL...So handsome and quite a fashionable sight with those hats that he wore...great golf swing too! Cat Very Happy

Wishing everyone a calming night and sweet dreams!

@MyShadowLove

No special dinner and no gatherings for me--I miss my fam, too! However, it's been a great day. I got some chores done to get ready for roofers to come tear off my roof tomorrow. And I had a virtual "brunch" with my dear daughter. Not a lot of brunching but LOTS of running our mouths! Then I had a facetime with my beloved sister, whose family has been battling with serious Covid with complication, but seem to be slowly on the mend now. Two still in hospital, though none currently in ICU. (Nope, it's NOT time to ease up yet.) And there were other good things today as well. Plus reading about all of you! Life is GOOD.

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter. We just had our kids for dinner. GD had to work and SIL went fishing. We had no problem with that. He finished up his radiation and got to ring the bell on Good Friday. He deserved to go fishing. Sent dinner home for them. After three straight days of food shopping, cleaning, and pre-making what I could, I'm done. We had a good time. Dinner was good and the company was good. I'm taking the day off tomorrow. Just going to chill. It's supposed to be a nice day again tomorrow and I will probably take the dog for a walk.❤️🐰

Good Morning Precious Preds and Preds very special friends. Currently 43 degrees but day will be sunshine. I was in the kitchen all day Saturday preparing our Easter meal. We had invited one of DH friends to eat with us. He called Saturday evening to cancel. I was getting ready to bake his favorite cake: the mandarin orange cake. So instead made a fruit salad. I had now prepared to much food : baked ham, purchased cooked collards and green beans from our favorite restaurant. I also made potato salad and a sweet potato casserole. Yes- two potato side dishes cause I was trying to make two men happy with their favorite side dishes. Plus made 40 deviled eggs because both men can't stop eating them. So if anyone loves leftovers: I have to go plates for everyone to enjoy. I enjoyed reading all your post about Easter❤️🤗

@Yahooey : My secret to beautiful deviled eggs = the Instant pot. Put one cup of water in the pot and add a dozen of eggs- cook 5 minutes, set for 5 minutes before doing the steam release.Transfer the eggs to a large bowl filled with water and ice and wait 5 more minutes. The eggs are very easy to peel and look perfect plus the yoke is a beautiful sunshine yellow. Previously hated to make deviled eggs and especially not for company. Plus another great purchase = the Rubbermaid egg containers holds 20 of the deviled eggs.
