pins or brooches were a thing when i was a kid

my mom always had some kind of crystal brooch on her coat collar as most women

i've bought some smaller pins for my lapel when i wore suits to work

this is 1 of my favorite ones - i bought it at a craft show

i forgot what kind of stone she is holding - amethyst? 

she is about 1.5 inches tall - i didn;t measure
