@Bri369 : Last couple of hours researching something else. I need a different lamp shade for table lamp that sits next to DH recliner. I sit the opposite corner across the room from DH. With me being short and either sitting or reclining his light shines directly in my eyes. He needs the light and a 100 watt bulb. I thought a higher or taller lamp shade would help but 15 inch high is expensive. The current lamp is 31 inches high. I thought a new shorter table lamp could help. So far what I looked up- any table lamps 20 inches or less in height = maximum light bulb wattage is 60.😳🤷‍♀️. Why does everything have to be so complicated. Because of the size of the den= small. No other way to rearrange the furniture 😳. Never a dull moment for me. Thankful that I don't have to worry about snow. We have 80% of thunderstorms for the next two days. 🤗❤️

@Yahooey : Stay safe. My DH is very hot natured. Yesterday was in my recliner wrapped up but he was wearing a tee shirt and shorts and then turned the fan on next to his recliner.😳😀

I also went to bed a few min. after 10pm...but wide awake around 1:30am..inka a panic..felt like it was 90 degrees in bedroom but i knew betterso sat on couch a few min or longer and went back to bed,

Now up again around 5:30 have a dull headache,looked out front window and see that city snow plow has cleaned snow off the street and left a pile off my driveway.

Our weather snow weather ... edited to say

 Snow warning has been cancled !

and we might have 3-4 in. on the ground instead of 5-9 inches!I think north  and east  of me might might have gotten more but not sure yet!

I'm not going out unless to get mail later in the morning.

@cowboy sam  Be careful!

My husband just left for work.  He said it was very slippery out.  We got at least 4-5 inches.

@SouthernBee

Last year or so i have noticed when you buy lamps  that the say not to use higher than a 40 0r 60 watt bulb  as i think the newer bulbs run smaller wattage but a tad brighter in light.

Thats why i bought a pole light that has 5 seperate lights  and put it behind my couch.Yep like back years ago    but  i can turn switch from having 2 lights on or.3  or all 5 and   plus each has a small plastic colored shade  and each one uses a 40watt bulb   i ordered it on line from Walmart for under $20.00...

as i don't like my 2 ceiling lights in my living room..i dislike light shining in my face/eyes   and on my tv!I usually only need 2 lights on pole unless reading a newspaper.

Good luck finding a solution from your dh's light...

Would it help to move the lamp up a little bit?  Put it on some books or something so it won't shine in your eyes, but your husband will still be able to read?
