@Yahooey, So many here are good cooks!  I used to be one.  Had to seriously adapt my cooking for our son, no artificial ingredients at all, and the whole family ate alike.  Was the Feingold diet, as he was somewhat hyperactive and I was against giving drugs.  He turned out just fine.

DH and I could eat what we wanted for many years,  Then he had a “mild” heart attack.  Shock, for a man who went on 10 mile bike rides.  But we adopted a healthier diet, and once in a while we break it for a treat.  We eat simply, but we eat well.

He is doing great. No sign of anymore trouble for 9 years!

He will be 80 in March.

Hello Lovelies,

@SouthernBee, How did you make out with the eye doctor?  I know you are super busy with all your work around the house.

That, and all the cooking you do.  Wish I had your zip.

@cowboy Sam, Hey, at least you didn’t hit anybody spitting out that yucky food.  That makes you a polite diner.  At least you weren’t eating with Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace.

@Yahooey, Oh, I really like Greek food.  I don’t eat much meat.

Do you cook with ground beef or lamb?  Of course, I really love Bavlaka (spelling?) You are quite a cook, with many different types of cooking.  Did you learn on your own?

@loveschocolate, Really happy about your new digs.  Do you want help getting settled in your new place?  Want some fun and laughs along the way?  Remember your friends.

@PamfromCT , thank you ☺️

I'm so sorry you had to endure all the scary stuff - and glad u had a good result

fingers crossed for the upcoming appt -

ur doctor could have made it easier - a foot stool or stacked items to accommodate the shorter leg etc

someone to hold the rolling chair still - etc

but i get it - backed up patients and covid stress and stress in general

relax and pamper urself

I love ❤️ spicy food! I lived in Louisiana for 4 years when I was in the military. Took some getting used too at first .... being a "northerner and all".

@loveschocolate

i'm not a fan of real spicy or blackened food

blackened fish - etc

i prefer stuff rare - steaks -

raw - sushi

but always willing to give it a go if that is the specialty of the region

if u are visiting - eat what everyone is eating - at least once

told my niece and nephew when they were vacationing in Europe

try it - at least once and definitely 🐌 in Paris (ai lubs it)

they ordered the dish - they tried (their parents aren't adventurous either)

not fans - but tried - they were around 14 and 18 at the time

@Bri369 : It was stressful.Today spent resting. Then paid bills. Pulled up on line necessary documents for income tax. Decided to search on line for special Valentine's Day gifts that needed locally and to be mailed out of state. Took a nap and decided will wait until tomorrow to work on other paper work.
