  Mr. Bri got his covid test back, and it is positive.   I'm not surprised, so we'll just keep doing what we've been doing.  I hope he starts to feel better soon!

@dooBdoo!

So very nice to see you here!

How have you been feeling?  I think of you so often and sending you my best wishes?  Do you have anything planned for Thanksgiving?  Ours will be very different, for sure.

We are cooking a turkey breast, but ordering in a couple sides.

I think so many are anxious for Christmas decor to add some cheer.  We have a few neighbors who have already decorated

their homes.  It will be after Thanksgiving for us.

Please hurry back!

Hi, @PamfromCT!   My Thanksgiving was quiet, just another day and I was sad that I didn't have my little Rosie kitty here to shower with special treats that day...  but also "another day" to focus on being thankful for what was and hopeful about what might be in the coming days.

Thank you for the good wishes and kindness.

I'm sorry to be in and out (more out than in) here lately...  a number of things accumulated to sideline me to a place of sadness, disappointment, and awareness that I needed to reflect and be sure of and more responsible about myself, who I am, and my actions, my words and the energy I bring here to the forums and to my life.

A December 2019 thread asked us for a word or behavior we'd like to focus on in the New Year and my answer I think is even more applicable to me now that it was then:

"Agreements. (~Don Miguel Ruiz")🙂

  • Be impeccable with your word.   ”Speak with integrity.   Say only what you mean.   Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others.   Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love."

  • Don't make assumptions.   ”Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want.   Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama.   With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life."

  • Don't take anything personally.  ”Nothing others do is because of you.   What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream.   When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering."

  • Always do your best.   ”Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick.   Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret."

  • Be skeptical, but learn to listen.   Much of what you hear isn’t true.   Humans speak with symbols and symbols are truth because we agree, not because they are truth.    When you learn to listen, you understand the meaning of symbols;  you understand their story, and communication improves."

Sorry to go on and on...   your thoughtful post took me back to what I guess was sort of my "new year resolution" and reminded me that I need to be more mindful.

Thank you for that, and for all the positivity and friendship you share with us on the forums.❤️
