As you know, we live in the ‘burbs, but really Fort Wilderness.  Among the bears and others, we have Rocky the Raccoon.

Well, one day DH borrows my car, my Subaru Forester (named Bluebird, cause it is blue and it flies) to run an errand.  It holds more stuff than his car, and he was going to his favorite store.  It is “Ocean State Job Lot,” full of bargains.

Comes home, unloads my car, and left it outside with the glass part of the roof open.  Well, he had bought a lot of hard candy, the kind in wrappers.  Surprise!

Rocky climbed in the car during the night, and ate a ton of candy, and left all the wrappers all over the inside of the car.

I swallowed hard and was nice.  DH cleaned the inside of my car very well.  And I bet Rocky had a tummy ache.

I then finished the post and still couldn't figure out what those poor socks did except fall off your feet

maybe white is a dirty word - have you clean your floors lately?

I lubs your Rocky story. They are cute as dickens (altough I don't really know if Mr Charles Dickens was really that hunky). Too lazy to google the origins of dickens. Gosh, I digress again - I didn't even have a shiny object waved in front of me.

Raccoons are a messy bunch. Went camping and left the garbage in bags but NOT in the dumpster. They had a party and all us hoomins just peeked with all the racket and what a clean up in the morning. Taught us a lesson.

Yikes, bags of candy YUM. I lubs your stories on the wilderness. All I got are rats, flying rats (pigeons) and squirrels - I do think squirrels are cute.

I know, sad city slicker enthralled by squirrels.
