Sending warming hugs to all!!!  For those that need more, I'll hug ya longer.

It's a new year, it'll have it's ups and downs, just like the stock market, or an escalator, or a ski jump (heaven forbid).  More power to you, and this too will pass.  I figure it does come in highs and lows.  Just like a good book, it has it's chapters, a beginning and an end, know that now won't go on forever, there's a light at the end of the tunnel.  Hang in there.  Best wishes a good year to you all.  HeartHeartHeart

good morning @SouthernBee @qualitygal @cowboy sam @geezerette @loveschocolate @PamfromCT @NEvans2 @KBEANS

been snowing (flurries) or rain on and off since yesterday

I knew bad weather was coming and did all my grocery shopping and hunkered down with a giant pot of soup - threw some in the freezer for the future

i lubs making stuff and freezing for another day except

for chips - they have to be consumed while they are fresh

you cannot leave a chip bag opened for more than 3 days...

that is just food safety

this is brought to you by your friendly food safety council

pls check your chips and ice cream

it is a misconception that ice cream is fine in the freezer -

it is NOT....  it should be consumed in a timely manner

SIGH.... i am the way i am bc I'm following the guidelines

@Yahooey : Well stated. Totally agree and understand.

Rained during the night and turned to snow around 5. Front yard and all around. The weather forecast was snow for our area. Doesn't happen very often. I said will wait and see. Makes me sad because my cousin that lived in Tennessee: had fun calling him about our snow. He is in heaven now. Tennessee was always getting snow.

The central heat thermostat is very wonky and works on its schedule. I got up at 3 and ready to turn the oven on for a few minutes but the heat  finally cycled on. So will be making a service call on Monday. We have one small electric heater and will be ordering another one.

That thermostat: cut the system off for a few minutes at the breaker. Changed the batteries and looked for a reset button. Thermostat was purchased in July so it has to be defective. We called the service guy again in September complaining about the thermostat. He said it was us and really talked down to us. We are ready to find another service company. Always something.

Enjoy your weekend. Stay warm and enjoy your coffee ☕️.❤️❤️

I'm sorry to hear you're having so many problems.  They just seem to keep on coming, don't they?  If it isn't one thing, it's another.  It's hard enough to deal with your own health and mobility issues without having to deal with home maintenance and repair too.

It's really cold here too.  Stay warm! 🥶
