I asked about her eye?

her reply was....she can see better and its still healing. Told me that her 2d eye surgery will be Dec.15.

A few min. later she called and left another message that if i didn't call back  she was going to call my neighbor  and ask about me!That ticed me off  so i called her back

It sounds like your daughter is hanging in there.  It's good that she's resting and drinking lots of water.  I hope she has other liquids or maybe soup too.

December 15 is just a little over a month away, so she should be feeling better by then.  And it's still not too long to have to wait to get her other eye fixed.

I guess pancake sis is getting lonesome.  That's unfortunate, but you definitely do not want to drive with her.  If her daughters or someone else takes you both, that would be ok, but not her!  Have you heard any more about how your friend is doing?

Don't work too hard.  You have to rest up for your big visit with your son!

Lubs ya!

So happy that Bee's surgery went so well.  Not fun, but so worth it to have your vision improved.  Please rest -

your top priority!

Sorry to hear about Sam's daughter getting COVID.

Yes, it is still around, and certainly hope she feels better soon.  Sorry you have to deal with sis!

All my lubs to all!

I hope your "new" eye is doing well so far and that you are able to do the drops and all that you have to do.  And keep taking it easy--you are taking it easy as the doctor said, aren't you? 🤨😎

@geezerette : Thank you. I have been very good. Doing the eye drop schedule. Trying to rest and not over work the new bionic eye( calling it that because it was expensive) but giving glory and praise to God.

Thursday, Nurse from the eye surgery center called to discuss a few things. She wanted to determine what I had done the day before surgery and the morning of surgery. I stated that I had followed the given instructions 100%. I explained at the center and waiting in the preop area: I explained about my lower back and hip pain. The nurse had provided extra pillows to support each area. But the wait was longer than expected and requested something for anxiety and pain. Explained that anesthesiologist said she couldn't give me anything until in the operating room. I explained in detail what I experienced and felt during surgery.  All she stated was : I need to go over your medical history. Then stated that they would give me something different for anesthesia. I also requested: Please give me something for pain and anxiety while waiting in the preop area. I stressed due to the circumstances of the first eye surgery that extra help , care and assistance would be needed and necessary. She replied that everything was being documented. I hope she documented and was telling the truth.

Another patient was in the operating room and waiting to be next: wondering what she was thinking: when she heard me say: Ouch .... several times.😧😧😧

My church friend that had a different doctor and had her eye surgery several months before me: She had to go to the same surgery center and her doctor had 14 eye surgeries scheduled the same day as hers.😳😳

Enjoy your weekend 🙏❤️❤️❤️

Good for you for being diligent with the drops!

I'm glad you explained everything that you went through with the first eye to the nurse.  Hopefully a different anesthetic will work better next time.  I can understand that they have to be careful with anything beforehand as that will affect the anesthesia they do give you for the actual surgery.  And that is only supposed to be fairly light and short term so you can go home soon afterwards.

If she documented your problem with the long wait beforehand, maybe next time they'll get you in with a shorter wait time.  And now you know what to expect so you won't be so anxious.  Some discomfort for a while in exchange for being able to see again!
