Well, it's taking me forever to get back into Community Chat again, and post a reply.  So if I'm not here much, that's why.

Very frustrating.

@geezerette : Totally agree and understand. Same for me. Plus each page has a pop up ad for new customers and discount coupons. If I try to look on other forums: the page has a bar on it and indicates processing .😧😧😧😳😳😳

The funeral home director called last night to verify they had received my text and emails and attached documents. They will have office meeting to review everything and then contact the funeral prepay insurance company. Stated to please give them a few days.🙏❤️❤️

I know.  This place can be so frustrating!  It was working fine for a while, now it's slow again.  If you can get in at all.

I hope your funeral situation turns out in your favor.  If you have all your documents, I don't see how they can deny you.

On another topic, aren't you supposed to have your eye surgery soon this month?

@geezerette : Thank you. Totally agree and understand. The eye surgery is 11/4 and 11/18.

Everything just frustrating. My gastrointestinal doctor appointment was today and they called to reschedule and thankfully for next week.

I would like to clean out my closet and middle room before my surgery.

Hmmm, it seems to be a little easier to get in here this morning.  I hope it lasts!🤞

I'm sorry, I thought your eye surgery was in October.  Well, less than a month now even so.  I know you're not looking forward to it, but when the surgery and recovery is over I'm sure you'll be happy to be able to see better.

Everything has gotten so difficult to deal with nowadays, especially the medical situation.  Doctors are so overwhelmed and we, the patients, get the short end of the stick.  But maybe your appointment delay will work better for you.  

How did your iPad case problem turn out?  Did you figure out how to get the camera to work without removing the case?  I hope you didn't have to buy another.

Brrr   I turned the furnace on for a bit this morning  as the old bones ache from coolness...not complaining  after all the 80-90 degree days we  have had  this summer  into October.

One grandson called me yesterday  to invite me to lunch  and birthday get together Saturday  as his son will be 2 years old Sunday.

Sunday he will be taking his family to a zoo in Chicago for the day. Birthday great grandson will be given a gift of money so they can buy him something there.

So. tomorrow i will be talking to my 2 grandsons  about helping me with my new wifi,  and newAdvancedphone system from AT&T  and my Epson printer printer  and computer...on printer i can make copies  but can't print anything from computer!  Probably needs  computer updated with informatin from  new wifi,etc...maybe or not compatible now!

I need to buy a new computer with windows 11  as my windows 10 will not be updated  after the 14 this month. I can still use it but no windows updates.

But i don't want to spend my money right now on a new one...i need to pay for my  daughters catarac surgery she is having on Oct 30...and in Nov  for the other eye!

Verry expensive as others know  but she doesn't have the money after her insurance pays...that is if it pays anything on it.

Furnace already?! 🥶  It's just gotten nice enough here at night (high 50s) to open the windows a bit and air out the house (and give the a/c a break!)  But the forecast is for the heat to come back next week and back to 90 degrees! 🥵

Oh boy, you take advantage of those grandsons to fix all your electronics!  It will be nice for you to visit with your great-grandson for his birthday.  Two is such a nice age, but full of energy!

I sure understand about having to budget for expenses lately.  More going out than coming in.  But it's great that you're helping out your daughter with her cataract surgery.  That's a necessity, especially if she's going to be able to continue to drive you shopping and out to eat! 😉

Dear Preds and Friends,

Good to hear everyone seems to be coping well with all the challenges we deal with.  Getting old is not for sissies, as I 

comtinue to learn.  Now that my IB issues are under control, the toothies act up.  Need to have implants in two areas I really need to chew,  Painful in th mouth, painful in the wallet.

Oh well, I did not need that diamond tiara I was planning to buy.....ha ha!

dear preds  and friends

I changed my mind  about asking for electronic advive from anyone yesterday...so i didn't.

No one noticed my new glasses  and i mentioned it to one grandson and his dad my youngest son   and i didn't get any comments on liking them  but its ok...i love them thats all that matters or i wouldn't have bought them..lol

Its been in the 40's some nights here that is why my heat was on for a short time a couple of times  then i shut it off.

sish  i noticed i have been leaving a "t" off my spelling of cataracts...oh well it could be worse  i'm happy that i even tried..lol!

if someone is asking for a friend....menu yesterday for great grandsons birthday was
BBQ

several different kinds of chips..

i took veggie chips with sea salt...(.daughter gave me 4 tubes of them  but my taste buds didn't like them)

potatoe salad

salad with colored noodles  and parm.cheese

and bithday cake...

Had a good time    was just  a small family get together  was picked up at noon  and home at 4

It was sunny  and a very cool breeze  as we had it outside.
