Hi Y'all: Really miss everyone but understand the aggravation and frustration of trying to log on and post.

Need a good laugh for today? This morning received email for the name of my new endocrinologist and to complete the forms on line for my appointment on the 29th. I wasn't familiar with the name and with google search found You Tube video and the information that I needed. Mercy the listed age and information indicated he is 80 with 50 years of experience. 😧😧😧.!??..Was this my joke for the day? ?. I double checked everything. DH was laughing and stated : only 9 years older than me and we will probably be best friends. His reviews are very mixed: patients love or dislike him. He has published over 80 articles and developed a different type of insulin. I have mixed feelings . This will be a very interesting office visit. My pcp chose him because she believes he can help with my osteoporosis, below normal vitamin deficiency and hopefully weight loss.

His YouTube video was made last November. DH said he looked like Dr.Pol the veterinarian. Let the fun begin.

Praying that everyone is doing good.🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️

Well, the good news is that Dr. Pol is still going strong, so hopefully your new doctor is too!😉☺️  I hope your appointment goes well.🧡

It's good to finally have Community Chat back up and working normally again.  Maybe we can get our regulars back soon.🤞

I hope everyone has been doing well during the long slowdown here.

Hi @geezerette : Thank you. I have missed everyone. Well dealing with something different. We made our funeral pre plans in 2014. DH went to school with the funeral director but sadly he had a fatal heart attack. DH thought we needed to make appointment to check our information and if anything else would be needed. We used the insurance company they suggested. I asked a lot of questions because in the pass there had been scams with funeral preplans. I took my policy and other documents. The current funeral director couldn't find their copy of our documents. She made copies of my folders. We had paid the policy off in 2016. She called the insurance company and they said policy not paid off...I replied that I had the bank statements of payment. Previously set up as bank direct payment and that stopped in 2016. Funeral director stated she will call that office manager of insurance company for investigation. Requested that I bring all my bank statements in and any of my notes and records of any contact or phone call with the insurance company. I have everything ready and waiting for the funeral home to call me back to schedule appointment. They also stated since we are using the other local cemetery for burial to call the about prepaying for the opening and closing cost that wasn't available in 2014. Stated that cemetery is no longer local owned and the price for that has really increased to $3000 each. I know this isn't a favorite topic but everyone needs to review what they have or make the arrangements. The funeral director was impressed with my file folders and all my documentation. During this soap opera:  I had started making my ingredients for chicken and dressing to put in the freezer for Thanksgiving and Christmas. So tomorrow will be my 3rd day to finish this project. Started thunderstorms earlier and I was ready to get out of the kitchen.

Hope you are dealing with more interesting stuff. Still struggling to learn my new IPad. I probably use the iPad more than I realized doing research and shopping cause I need to recharge more and like every afternoon.

I am ready for a nap and have no idea what to order to eat for dinner.

Enjoy your evening.🙏❤️

Oh my gosh, another hassle for you!  I thought prepaid funerals were supposed to put your mind at ease.  That's certainly not the case with yours.

I hope everything gets straightened out properly and quickly.

Enjoy your evening! 🧡

@cowboy sam : Application for power wheelchair. It was denied but rebuttal and review is now in progress. My pcp had  added extra documentation on my history with cerebral palsy and current condition. Made me mad that with my previous pcp that a lot of my health problems and issues that I discussed with him that he failed to document.

So sorry that you are dealing with fibromyalgia issues and praying 🙏 you will fill better soon.

DH is dealing with a fibromyalgia flare up. Plus his health insurance is limiting his fibromyalgia medication.

Enjoy your weekend.🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

@geezerette@cowboy sam : Finally finished making my chicken and dressing. I put in the freezer: 2 of the 9x13 pans and 2 of the 8x8 pans.
Now to see if fresh collards are available and put them in freezer. Then purchase ingredients for the sweet potato casserole. Last purchase the ham and turkey.

I can't believe you were denied a motorized wheelchair!  I thought that was pretty much set and settled.  Boy, that doctor you had previously was not the best.😡  I'm so glad you now have one that actually seems concerned about your wellbeing and comfort.  I hope all that works out without too much more hassle.

But through it all you still have managed to get much of your cooking done and in the freezer.  Too bad everyone you deal with isn't as organized and conscientious as you are!
