@PamfromCT @geezerette @cowboy sam @Yahooey  Very long week. Dealing with tummy trouble , I believe started by the high dose of vitamins, but doctor said necessary.

Friend didn't text or call me as requested after her eye appointment. I had to contact her about something else and then asked about eye appointment.  She has a very bad attitude. She was upset that the church friend that provided transportation for the appointment : refused to help her with the expensive lens that she needed. She is upset that the one Medicare pays that her copay is over $600 and friend refused to help. Her eye surgeon only operates after lunch . She is scheduled for 7/17/25 and will probably have only one eye done. She finally told me the lens that I need is $3000 each. I think she is jealous because I am going to do this and not helping her. She is 11 years younger than us with major health issues and needs to help herself  or move back closer to her family and her sister is a nurse.

Gone are the days that you can call your local bank and have your credit card spending limit increased during that phone  call because that is what I have done. They completed application over the phone for me: asked a lot of questions and stated credit check needed to be done and will take a few days🙄😯. I have excellent credit score and history. I will check on that Monday.

Widow friend provided transportation for my test yesterday. We were talking while waiting in line to check in( I was in a wheelchair). Receptionist very friendly. I had to sign my paperwork with my initials: PB . She asked : Did I hear correctly that your friends name starts with a J: Yes, she replied: Wonderful- we have PBJ: Peanut Butter & Jelly. We and everyone else couldn't stop laughing.

Jelly went with me and help me undress. I think the mammogram was more painful and sitting in the wheelchair put more pressure and pain on my back. The dexascan  was stressful and very painful laying flat on the table. I was doing a lot of praying.

I will probably need to ask my pcp for anxiety pills to take for any other schedule test.

We were out by 10:05 a.m and local restaurants open at 11. Friend drove to beautiful neighborhoods close to the restaurant. The houses were beautiful and loved the landscapes yards with different variety  of flowers which I couldn't name. Just felt so good to be out and laughing and giggling with friend. The lunch and fellowship was the best. I enjoyed my local favorite sandwich.

I was so worn out returning home. I took a 3 1\2 hour nap and woke up trying to determine if it was p.m. or a.m or if I was in The Twilight Zone because of my weird dreams🙄😯.

I'm sorry to hear you've been having tummy problems.  If you think it's from the high dosage of vitamins, is it possible for you to start with a lower dosage and gradually increase?  That is often more tolerable.

I don't understand why your friend wants someone else to pay for her lenses and then gets mad when they don't.  I've never heard of anyone thinking that.  Very strange.

I'm glad that you had a nice time with your friend who took you to your appointment.  While it does sound like the tests were rather painful for you, having someone to share some lunch and laughs with helped.  I would need a nice long nap too after a day like that!

@geezerette : Thank you. I will be calling my pcp tomorrow. I stopped taking the vitamins on Wednesday to stop the tummy troubles for my appointments Friday.

Friend is strange. Her Sister visited two years ago. Widow friend met her and the Sister managed to give her all her contact information. They had several conversations about why and how this friend reacts. She doesn't like her nurse sister. But her and other family members are available and willing to help.

Initially  widow and I would rotate paying for this friends lunch or whatever when we were together doing stuff but we no longer do this. We have known her for 10 years. She has tried to cause problems and divide our little group. She wants to be "1".

Whenever I call her and she starts to gossip about the others: I call her out and end the conversation. I make sure she is the one that initiates next contact. It can be 2 or 3 months . For me: A true friend stays in contact making sure everyone is ok. We have learned that this friend only calls when she needs something  or to gossip.

I want to be around fun and positive people. We all have something that can be irritating to others. But getting older trying to focus on the good and positive side of everyone and everything, if too difficult : spend less time with them . Challenge the negative conversation and redirect to fun and positive. Ok end of rant and soap opera.

Woke up to thunderstorms but we needed the rain. I was too tired to cook for today. I have no idea what we will be ordering.

On this Sunday morning..it is 75 degrees  and sunny

Me,i am???

My paincakes sister  in the near future will be  going to renewing her drivers liscense and hoping she fails  either tests....not safe for her to drive at all!

Her neighbor...also my friend has learned  that  cancer is" back" in groin area  where  recentlyshe had a mass removed and it was cancer.

She will start radiation treatments  tomorrow- Monday- 5 days a week  for 5 weeks.Also will need chemo iv's unknown yet for how often,etc.

I have told her that I "Believe" she will be ok.

 Another update:

Oldest sons wife is out of hospital after her  freaky fall  and broke part pf her knob on hip bone  and had surgery Friday  and home Sunday...wow!

Her dr. suggested she sleep in a recliner to heal....so son went and bought her a new one just for her.as his would be uncomfortable for her.

Next:

changed my mind on.... whats next for me????....no one can predict whats next for me  yet...lol!

Have too many others to think  about  instead of-" what if" for myself.

I think sometimes it's better to focus on others instead of ourselves.  Not to the point that we ignore our own health, of course, but there's only so much you can plan and prepare for your future.

Maybe paincake will forget how to get to the drivers license office!😉

I will be praying for her neighbor and friend.

I will be praying for your son and his wife. She will probably discover for now on that it will be more comfortable sleeping in a recliner.

You must take good care of yourself first. I know this is easier said than done. I will be praying for you.

Praying other family and friends will help you and provide transportation while other friend has treatment.

our friend asked paincake....   if  one of her 2 daughters would be going with her...in case she fails  a test?

Her reply was no...

so friend asks   her......

what would she do by  if herself  if she fails...

her reply....  was to sit there.... SMH!!!
