I had been watching storm chasers on my computer in another part of my state before storm hit us and saw a small tornado cross over a road in front of the storm chasers a couple of hours or so away from us....so i knew what direction storms were headed,etc.

So i knew it was headed to our part of the state.

Plus i had alerts on my cell phone and weather radio ahead of time.

We had wind,heavy rain,i thought i heard some hail hitting west side of house unkown if any tree limbs etc were take off yet until morning.

I didn't feel the need to seek shelter in my basement at all !

also Fire&Emergency squards were" not" called out for anything.

The storm continued east and went toward other towns and then suburbs of Chicago where some trees were uprooted,etc.

As far as i know from tv no major damage done!

@cowboy sam @PamfromCT @geezerette @qualitygal @Yahooey Good Morning. Yesterday went with DH to see his pcp and pleading for help about the urgent need for his fibromyalgia medication. DH is really uncomfortable and hurting. Doctor said they would update information and hopefully decision will be made soon. DH was meeting his sister for lunch. I was worn out and hurting but didn't want DH to have to take me home. I went with them to our favorite bbq place. I didn't order my large chef salad because it takes me a long time to eat the salad. I ordered the bbq sandwich and French fries. They are delicious. They are made fresh and with potatoes cut and fried like my Mother would make. The restaurant was celebrating 50 years in business. Their famous homemade lemon pie was selling for 19 cents a slice and ordered one to take home. Yummy . I was totally worn out.

I have appointment today to get a much needed hair cut. Hair hasn't been cut in 10 months and below my shoulders . Thankfully the salon is 5 minutes from the house. I will have my hair cut to a chin length bob that I love but really considering going shorter. I will wash my hair because it is really difficult for me to let them do it. Nothing else planned for this week.

@geezerette : Thank you. I love my hair cut and went a little shorter. She textured cut in the back to give more thickness and trying to hide all of my bald spots. I have a bald spot in the front and close to my forehead and very difficult to hide. She said that I needed a soft texture finishing spray that is better than regular hair spray. What she had in the salon was too expensive like $36 for a can. She moved my part over but not centered. I still have some thick hair in the back at my neck but everything else is really thin. She said my grey hair is really a beautiful color. Tomorrow morning will really be the test if I will be able to do anything with it. DH stayed and he likes the hair cut.

It was really windy when we were out.

I am so worn out. Hope that I can sleep good tonight.

If you have any areas where your hair is thin so can see your scalp, many people use a powder on their scalp to cover it. I think Amazon and other places sell these products, and in varying shades. You likely would be happiest choosing a powder a little lighter than your hair color, and certainly not darker. Try a little at a time, and you might be happy with it.

I am glad you like your haircut. My hair is relatively short, and I find it easier to handle. And you were smart not to purchase such expensive salon stuff. There are so many brands in a drugstore for a fair price.
