Last year i wasn't sure  if i needed to file federal or state taxes . as income had changed.. Had a  Soc. Security raise so i called a tax lady i had used in the past...she even came to my house to pick my info papers up....then later let me know...i was ok...i didn't owe anything!

I need to call her again and get advice once again...last year she didn't charge me for her help

Being "older" does get some  unexpected perks  now&then.

Yesterday I

filled out my  Senior Citizen Homestead township papers for homestead    exemtion  for  real estate tax freeze for 2025..

  A person to qualify has to have earnings under a certain amount  and i qualifyfor low income statis  through our township.  

Today in the mail i had my permanent State Disability  renewal form to have doctor fill out to get my  handicapped placard renewed by July  when it expires...they are free  and good for 4 years.

Was -4  early this morning  and high to be 9 degrees...it is now 6 above!

Oldest son in Mo. called and told me they could get 6 inches of snow....everything will shut down  as they don't have snow plows,etc.

@Yahooey @cowboy sam @geezerette @PamfromCT .Long day. Taxes filed. Very relieved getting small refund and didn't have to pay. Really liked the new accountant. She loved my outline and everything documented in my notebook. Took 30 minutes. Her fee was reasonable like the other tax man. Doing absolutely nothing tonight.

Sunny  and above 0 today  as its "9" degrees!

No plans for today..in fact i haven't seen nor heard from pains cake sister since Friday Feb.7..and neither has her neighbor...so hope she has seen her doctor  after last time being with her!

Waiting for mail lady  and hope my 2 weekly magazines will show up  as one weelky hasn't been delivered since  some time last month! 

plus  4 very late packages  that were sent  to me 2-3 weeks  or longer!

@cowboy sam : That's cold.I'm freezing with my area temperature of 47 with low tomorrow morning of 29 . High yesterday was 65. It has been raining all day.

Praying that your sister is getting  the help that she desperately needs.

I know we've joked about pain cake sis being a pain, but you or your friend not hearing from her for so long is rather concerning.  I also hope she's okay.🙏

@Yahooey @cowboy sam @geezerette @PamfromCTBusy this morning unboxing  my deliveries. The eco flow  purchase was 3 deliveries. The generator, the trolly  and solar panel. I was concerned  because nothing on the solar panel box indicated the tote bag was included. But the solar panel was inside the tote bag that was in the box.

The trolly  instructions very minimal. Upset when read: " Do not store generator on trolly: trolly for moving only. Unless I missed something: I didn't hear this on the presentations or videos. I had trouble screwing the front wheels on the trolly because difficult to see everything. I forgot to get the serial number on everything to register the products. Serial number easy to find on the solar panel. Serial number was on the bottom of the generator and weighs 26 pounds. Never found serial number for the trolly. 

I then finished putting together the metal stand for the new garden hose.

Decided to empty all the packing material out of the cubi  go box. I need that big box. I will be cleaning out the living room closet to hopefully store the ecoflow, trolly and solar panel. Not looking forward to DH reaction when he sees all the garbage created from my morning work. I have had my exercise for the day. I had planned on getting back on the cubi  go tonight.

@geezerette : I am concerned about @cowboy sam  and neighbor not hearing from pain cake sis. Totally agree.

I am so relieved about everything yesterday with the new accountant. I had done a Google search and not much available except H& R Block and other expensive firms.

Ironic that DH other sister is a  retired

accountant and her son runs the business and not using him and reviews very mixed.

that i bought from a seller on Ebay ...wow! it is soo pretty!

It is sunny  and a warm 18 degrees out

if a friend asks......what did i eat today  for lunch?

Heated up a can of Campbells bean&bacon soup  and had some honey cornbread that i bought from Dollar Tree Store....was yummy tasting  but found no bacon bits in soup!
