@geezerette : Totally agreed. SIL  growing up with 5 girls and 3 brothers. She was cute but not attractive like the other girls. She was responsible for doing the house cleaning and cooking. DH said she received more complaints  instead of praise. Really sad.

@geezerette : It was delicious and moist. I enjoyed 2 small slices. DH was upset that she didn't bring a big cake.🙄😯

DH can be difficult to please. Another example. I ordered  the David Cookies Pecan Melt a ways also known as Wedding Cookies. They were delivered today. I opened the tin to taste them and gave DH one. He replied: " Too much powdered sugar."🙄😯

I wrapped them back up and put in the freezer.

Years ago I made the cookies for Christmas Gifts. The ones today tasted close to home made.

When paincake picked me up  she asked me  very quietly if i  still wanted tacos today? told her Yes!

But  I had a taco salad  , friend had 3 tacos,paincake ordered a seniors meal  and  later when waitress came  back around,  paincake reminded me   that i told them i would treat them to a slice of carrot cake  if they had it....and they did  and i did treat them

I thanked paincake  and she wanted tp know why? so i told her it was for her letting us eat there today...she said  oh!    SMH!!

So we will be going back to her Cracker Barrel tomorrow  to keep paincake happy
