@geezerette : Thank you. DH said that DD rent increased. Really wish she could move  but not that easy.

I am really looking at the groceries purchased, pantry items and house hold  essentials to see if any changes can be made. We have been ordering less junk food and snacks.

Your DD is very fortunate to have you and DH.  You're very good to her.🩷

@cowboy sam : Totally agree and understand.

When ordering on line: I will really look at my cart and see if all items are really needed . Plus try to order what's needed from one site instead of two.

I think because of stores raising prices  is why last week my 2 friends and I ....didn't want to go into Walmary or other big groc store ....but next day when we stopped at the 2d store prices were higher then Walmarts...but i went in got  only 4 items ,paid for them and returned to car!

If i would have gone into Walmart...i would have spent more money  and got more items!

Pancake  sis has stopped a few times  at Dollar Tree  or Dollar General...and i have bought just things i need...i don't like thinking about going into the larger stores any more!

@geezerette : I hate when the weather changes and especially the darn headaches. I don't have the headaches as often , thank goodness.

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear you're hurting today.🥺

I'll bet this weird hot/cold weather is making things hard for you.  I know I've had headaches for days on end lately because of the changing weather.  It seems like every few hours it goes from one extreme to another.  And the wind!  I know it's that time of year for wind as we go into spring, but the wind we've had has been really bad!

You stay on the couch today with a nice blankie, a few snacks and your tv.  Maybe take a nap.  Hope you feel better soon.🤞

Lubs ya!❣️

@Yahooey : Precious Zoe definitely needs the special food with your love and support.

I purchase the big bottles of Dawn, liquid soap , dishwasher supplies and some items only purchase twice a year.

I am using more big bags of frozen vegetables cause like you, hate to waste fresh produce.

yesterday morning - i did my normal ritual every saturday morn

cleaning the construction ickies

and it was far less than before bc they have finished hauling the old stuff out

last monday - as i went to feed zoe

she ran past me - trying to get to where she has gone in the past

surrounded by plastic - she is afraid of plastic

when she was a kitten - she had the handle of a bag around her neck and she ran around petrified until i cut it off

anyway - she sat down - confused by the new surroundings

there were construciton ickies and she wouldnt move

i had to chase and scare her away from the construction site

i was heartbroken - and zoe probably was heartbroken also

so... when i cleaned the area and it was kinda okay

i opened the plastic sheeting - pulling it back and taping it open

this was around noon - i kept calling her but she didnt come

then 530pm - she came through the plastic to where i normally hide

she sniffed around and i petted and cooed to her

i went and fed her at her normal location but she didnt come back after eating

i went to sleep and woke at 2am

saw a closet door opened - zoe does that

so i know she came back but i didnt see her

i stayed awake and at 445am - i heard a noise - is that zoe?

yes - she came back to ask for food - i petted her and she was purring

i went back to her location to feed her

it is now 6am - i'm tired from lack of sleep but so happy

i think my new routine - is to clean after they leave fridays

so zoe can walk around until they come back monday morning

❤️ 💕 💜

just to clarify - it wasnt the construciton site she was at but the pathway between me and construdion site - she has no access to the site - there is a closed door

@Yahooey : Hope you will be able to purchase the induction range.

Saturday while removing laundry from the dryer , not able to stand up straight. Lower back and hips are painful. Sunday trying to cook and clean the kitchen very difficult. Plus spilled a lot of stuff on the cook top and heavy grates. It was really hard to lift the grates to clean.

Please consider every option that will make your kitchen user friendly and easy to clean and do the improvements now. Just trying to help.

@SouthernBee

yes - going with induction - the grates are a pain

i know i would have been able to adjust to the grates

just as we all adjust to things that is all a part of life

but... if i had another options - why not?

i do like the idea of s amooth cooktop that will be easier to clean

i also know it will be an adjustment from gas

it will be a learning curve - this whole experience is a learning curve

i hope u feel better

zoe is now banished until friday -

she did come and go this weekend with a large portion in the sunny 50's snoozing
