 11-14 : It is 2 years today that our boy 🐶 Jake joined our family!  Our friend passed away and my husband made a promise to him several years earlier, that we would care for Jake.

On Sunday, 11-12 Jake turned 16. This guy still acts like a pup, is very active and spry! It truly is a joy to have him.

I can see and feel the difference in him from when he first got here. He is very much more comfortable and confident with us. We can feel the love.

When he first got here I took a picture and posted it as my icon and someone asked, "Why does your dog look so sad?"

I explained  the situation. Looking back, he did look very sad.
He doesn't anymore! 😊 

I wish, I knew how to post photos. I have tried and haven't had success.

I'm also afraid I'll accidentally post shots that I don't mean to; and that also puts me off from doing it. 

What is batch processing? I see that option when I tried to post pics.

BTW in case I haven't mentioned it. My photo tagged to my name is my Jake. I still don't know how I was able to do that.

Good Morning Y'all: Rain all day and tomorrow. I have a doctors appointment on Thursday and hate getting out in the rain.

Finally, someone coming today to work on DH computer and praying that they can fix it. They charge $128 per hour.

I will be getting up in a few minutes to do some house cleaning to make everything look and smell better.

I have finished all my Christmas shopping except for one more gift for DH.

I will wait until Monday after Thanksgiving to start my Christmas decorations. I will be using a smaller table for the Christmas tree and gifts. I will be using a smaller table to have serving space for small cake, nuts, cheese and crackers.

this morning my sis doen't know it yet..

'But...my friends -the married couple called me last night....and i will be going to wally+ eating out with them!

Will be picking me up between 7:30-8am

and i have been awake and up i think every 2 hours during the night...lol

I hope your dh can get his putter fixed today   and not cost more than a new one....🙏

@cowboy sam : I am very hungry  but with taking my medications that state: take with plenty of water, I will be full for a while. I am down one more pound. Will be eating today a very large salad with a lot of protein and roasted vegetables.

@SouthernBee  Congrats on the recent weight loss.

I would like to offer a suggestion:

Pick a day of the week and make that your Weigh-In Day. It will take some pressure off and leave you with one less thing to stress about on a daily basis.

@Tique : Thank you. I normally weigh once a week. Had doctor appointment  last Wednesday and weighed to be able to compare with doctor office scale. Had another doctor appointment  on Monday and did the same thing. I have an appointment with my gastro doctor and doing the same thing. The gastro doctor has been very stern about my weight ,but he would make a very good Santa Claus in all the Hallmark movies and he has beautiful white hair and beard. Every time , I see him: I have to really struggle to keep myself from saying something.😀😀😀

went through the weekly circular for the supermarket and making a list

most of my items have been purchased - one of the things missing are mushrooms for stuffed mushrooms

thought - whether it sits in my fridge or in the market's fridge - 

i buy it closer to the date i need them - fresher i keep thinking but then...

it could have been sitting in their fridge for the past week lol

same with the ham - i'm buying it friday but they had been bins full of various hams and turkeys since last week.... oh, the dilemma 

going swimming today

PS chips are on sale - must buy 3

I'M NOT BUYING.... need to be like our 🐝 willpower

and trying to get our sam's energy - she must have a backed up battery

mine charges overnite - but it runs down too quickly

@Yahooey  this is the time of day I used to come to the board and find our Preds. I'm often awake at this time but seldom drop by the board now until later. Since I'm here this gives me the perfect time to ask you about something. You have mentioned the Brussels Sprouts tree Stalks you purchase from Trader Joe's during this season. Do you remove the sprouts and cook them as you do regular ones or is there another way to cook them without removing them?. Don't laugh. I was always told there are no silly ?s except the ones you didn't ask. Truthfully I've been holding on to this one for a few years. I was in TJ's last night, saw them but didn't buy. Thought I would get some advice first. TIA.

Going back to bed since a fresh wave of sleepiness just approached.
