Oh my, the workers tore up my bathroom down to the nitty gritty. It looks so scary.

I am petrified that a ground hog...or something else will come crawling out of the, well.. no walls 😝

Remember, I live in a building in the city and so it's scary to think what's living beyond walls!

@cowboy sam  Believe it or not ...we have a groundhog that lives in the grass and hedges in the front of our building, in the middle of Manhattan! I believe someone dumped the guy there after visiting the country.

Others say he may have migrated here on his own, but I don't buy it.

Recently someone said they saw another smaller one with it.

I shutter to think what may happen to it, as I have witnesse it running across the street to another grassy area and the  cars are always flying down that block.

For it's safety,  I called the city of NY  311 hotline and they said that it's not on city property and that I should call a private company to have it removed at my expense. 👎 Within no more than 5 minutes, I received an email that said your case is closed. 😝

Well, really  I don't mind the little guy, and I don't care if he tears up the property and I sure can't afford to pay for his removal.
I just don't want to see him be killed because the city is a dangerous place for him...these days for me too! 😝

We did have an amazing time. Simple but amazing.
I enjoy spending time with my husband. We are truly good friends first, married couple next.

I'm sending you thoughts, love and prayers that all will be well with you.

God bless and keep you. ❤️  @KBEANS

@KBEANS, Thank you for painting a lovely picture of your trip!  I've never been to that part of the country, always wanted to.

You mentioned the research using reviews...  over time, have you found any particular review site(s) to be more reliable than another (others)?

I had to highlight your touching comment about your husband... what a blessing to have that friendship, a truly remarkable tribute to you both, as individuals and as a couple.❤️

Also, my love and prayers continue to go out to @Mj12.❤️

me upset with groundhog..it dug a deep hole close to my grass  in my front yard and i want it gone!😡🤬

I walked to hardware store Sunday and bought some sprinkle stuff that smells like fox?

I sprinkled a big circle around hole, old stump,in grass  even to areas near street,etc...i used all that was in container!

Will keep" groundhogs, squirrels, etc out of yard.. " I t will not kill anything!"

It is suppose to work...but how will if i know if its works/its gone ???

Wait a few days then fill hole with more dirt? I was told that it wouldn't like smell of predator  and leave soon!???????

Oh, dear!  Be careful, @cowboy sam.  We had a problem with groundhog burrows in our yard when I lived in N.C. ...  if you don't see them and you step the wrong way on/in one of the holes or if the soft ground gives way under your foot due to a tunnel you can injure yourself.

I don't have specific advice about the best methods to send them on their way away from your yard, but you might contact the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Wildlife Services office for your state, and also the Humane Society.

Best of luck to you! 🌻

OK, now that's a new one for me, @KBEANS .  A groundhog at a NYC building?  Yikes!

(As I just wrote to @cowboy sam, maybe you can call the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Wildlife Services for your state so they can advise?  I think their help and services are free of charge.)

I've gotten hooked on a podcast all about unexplained phenomena (some are really scary!), and one of the more lighthearted tales was about a NYC woman who began to feel strangely cold air filtering into her apartment, narrowed it down to coming from her bathroom mirror, and upon investigation found a opening behind it...  (insert suspenseful music here) and...

Spoiler
a "secret" uninhabited apartment was discovered.😲

Good wishes to you for a speedy completion of the work on your bathroom! 😊

@KBEANS

If you rent...can you call the owners about the groundhogs?

They might look cute  but they dig deep holes  and then into tunnels.

My concern.  is:

What  if....it digs  deeper other tunnels  into the "grassy"  part of the yard

 and

makes  a larger hole opening   and  it  also goes  deeper into the ground!

and

then my lawn mower guy.. hits it or.. gets his  low riding fast lawn mower wheel caught in it!

or

is sent flying !...i don't want him to get thrown off and hurt... or his mower damaged!

I am responsible...sigh
