i have a Whirlpool - bought in 2018 or 19

nothing fancy - it doesnt talk to me or wifi etc

i had ice maker and inside the door water dispenser

i didnt like the way the water tasted - dont know if it was the pipe tubing or what

it was my first auto ice maker / water dispenser

i shut off the water and drained what i could

@Yahooey : Trying to find photos of my old kitchen because can't remember name of the stove.

My kitchen remodel in 2017 included GE gas cook top that I love and so far no problems. I have a GE double wall electric ovens and so far no problems and this was my first electric oven.

@Yahooey : The GE is my first ever side by side refrigerator. The last one was the old fashioned freezer on top and it was a darn can't remember the name. Also need to go look because can't remember the name the big freezer that we purchased in 2003 has been good with no issues. I think it's a Whirlpool.

I currentlly have all LG appliances, and I love them.  I've also had GE and had no issues with them either.

I have a French door fridge with the water dispenser and ice maker.  We have a water cooler, so I never drink the water from the fridge dispenser.  The ice cubes taste fine to me, and I'm very picky about the taste of ice cubes.  LOL

I do notice the ice maker is noisy at times throughout the day.  I don't pay attention to it at night because the TV is usually on.  Once we go upstairs, I don't hear it at all.

My stove has 5 burners.  The burner in the middle has an extra boost feature, which I use a lot, if I'm searing something and need the extra heat or boiling a pot of water.  There is also a griddle that you put on if you take the grates off.  The oven has the convection feature, which to be honest I've never used.  I keep saying I'm going to figure out how to use it, but I never do.

@Bri369

thank u for the details on each appliance for me and @SouthernBee

it is very helpful

since mine is the old fashioned stove-

i lift the single grate and clean the enamel by burner - it was easy

now i see everything looks like cast iron - they are double grate and feels so heavy

whenever i cook - it seems the place by burner always have a bit of spillage and the splatter from pot whether oil - sauce etc

are the tops under the grate rough cast iron or smooth

i HATE cleaning - and when i lifted the double grate - where do you place it

bc literally - i lift my grate single handed - spray the top and replace

i think most ovens have the convection mode -

i know that means circulate the air for even cooking?

but my brother says it cooks it faster - so i'm no help what so ever
