Dinner - she was making a carmelize onion galette for a neighbor - would i like that as a starter - YES ✅
Meat - something i normally would never attempt or cook rarely - no chicken, no steak
Quack quack - this thing was thick - i've had duck - but the breast is usally thin, much like a chicken - this was steak stize thick - 1.5 inches - Magret Duck, never heard of it.
served with pan seared potatoes with garlic, butter and parsley -

the whole meal was wonderful - she said i deserved to be treated special - it was small - mom, me, DB and my niece - she also cooked a huge meal for me and my DB as we were going back and forth from the hospital when she was admitted -

the best thing you can give someone when they are too crazed is a meal with leftovers - no prep - no shop - no major cleanup - that was much appreciated
- it was simple spaghetti and meatballs with cheesy pull apart bread and homemade buttermilk biscuits - i probably cosumed a few sticks of butter these past 2 weeks

mom's last radiation treatment was yesterday - thank you for all the healing prayers

i'm not a jade person but during a vacation in Hong Kong

you buy Jade and watches - so i figiure I will get the most non jade bangle there was

(NOT a green person) the pseudo bangle was sections of lavender and light green jade -

it was so different than all the other bangles i saw

yet after wearing it a bit - i noticed that the colors are not as vibrant and so it has now faded to very pale lavender/green and the sheen is not there - whereas good jade should retain its shine and smoothness - i really dont know if there is bad jade or just stone that has been dyed - i've gain weight and would be really hard to remove it

I was in my 20s and I wanted a sophistated watch - small retangular black face with only a marker on the 12 - guess what - i cant tell time with it - is it 130 or 230 - 430 or 530

so i bought 2 expensive items (for me at the time) - sigh
