@cowboy sam

Nothing here yet.  It's only 3pm.  It's very gray and gloomy out.   I'm sure it's on the way.

Yay for getting out.  I want to go to our favorite breakfast place so bad.  How nice of you to treat them.

Comgratulations, @SouthernBee, what an accomplishment!

How long did it take you to lose the 25 pounds?  I bet you look fantastic!

Hello Lovelies,

A few facts here re vaccine.

In Connecticut, hospitals are sponsoring clinics, as I know it.

You cannot get the shot in your doctor’s office.

The clinic we went to was sponsored by Hartford Hospital, one of several close to where we live.  We filled out health info forms online, then received potential schedule sent to us.  We were on top of this, and made our appointments two weeks in advance.  This clinic was for folks 75 and over.

Clinics are held in different venues.  Ours was in a very large lobby of a large hotel, attached to a parking garage.  Very well organized, short wait time, just had to show a photo ID.  The shot was absolutely like nothing.  Then they asked all to sit in a large area, socially distanced, for 15 minutes before we left.

A nurse came around to ask how we were doing.

We received the Pfizer vaccine.  All I have is a little soreness in my left arm, and we are scheduled for 3 weeks from now.

I have heard there may be more side effects from the second dose, but at this point I don’t care.

We are very grateful, but we are very concerned for the health of all Americans.  We find the shortage of vaccines a terrible thing.

thank you for the detailed explanation @PamfromCT

I agree with everyone that @SouthernBee 🐝 is now a se*y 🦊

I painted - ran out of paint - bought another quart

just under 50 for a gallon and 20 for a quart

grrr - i better not run out

finishing up tomorrow - and then back to scraping the paint off

then clean - then put everything back

i'm tired just thinking about it - but this is the home stretch

brrr cold - i hear snow is a coming

stay warm and safe

@Yahooey, I wasn’t sure from a few questions exactly what all wanted to know.  Hence, my detail - a detail person, as you can see.  Served me well sometimes.

@cowboy sam, The one dose vaccine is Johnson and Johnson.  One dose, but from what I have gathered, is not up to the level of protection of the other vaccines.  Nonetheless, it is certainly much better than nothing.  Meaning it will likely prevent hospitalization and death.  And with all vaccines, you still must wear a mask.

Hope I don’t bore everyone to death.

@PamfromCT @Yahooey @Bri369 @cowboy sam - Good Morning Precious Preds and Preds very special friends. I just finished binge watching- The Signed , Sealed, Delivered Movies. Hee Hee- for once I had control of the tv remotes. Yea- Yahooey busy painting- you can do it! Thank  you Pam for the details about the vaccine. @Bri369 @cowboy sam - stay warm and safe. My experience with this weight loss journey very interesting. This phase has taken four months but hoping slow and steady will make the difference. The only changes that I have noticed- my face not as puffy, shoes not as tight and no real change in clothes or size. Wondering how much one has to lose before change in clothing size?Found my wedding rings and tried them on but not able to wear yet. DH will weigh this week when he goes to the doctor- not ready to use my scales. He was able to put his wedding band on. My determination to lose weight was at DH last doctor visit when his doctor told him to lose 10 to 15 pounds. When we got married - I was wearing a size 8 and three years later with breast cancer and all the steroids, other medicine and going through menopause for the second time the weight just double. I tried so many different things but not successful until now. This time the weight loss is slow and hopefully the change in eating will make a difference and be able to keep the weight off. I am not physically able to do a lot of walking for exercise but will start exercising with chair exercises . Just remember whatever project that we are working on takes determination , motivation, positive attitude, love and support. 🤗❤️❤️❤️
