@cowboy sam : When I was about 22 and single- took a candy making class. Learned how to do the peanut butter cups, chocolate covered cherries, turtles and mints. Each holiday had fun purchasing the special little candy boxes to give as gifts to coworkers and friends. It was fun but time consuming.🤗❤️

@Yahooey : Sorry but gave all my candy making supplies to a friend. I have a real easy microwave recipe for fudge but it has to be kept in the refrigerator. It fits perfectly in the disposable foil pans that has a picture of cinnamon rolls on the front. Easy to cover with foil and put a ribbon around it.🤗❤️

I get anxiety whenever I order something online

if I had a designateed - guaranteed package acceptance - doorman etc

it would be a different story

it is wonderful that we can track packages and many are happy with the package on the porch steps - RING the doorbell - you wait and wait

oh, I hope you get all your deliveries soon

you wanna tell ur friends what you bought?

was the stand mixer easy to use and you are more comfortable with it

snapping the bowl on and off?

sending you gentle hugs while waiting for the delivery man

I'm also doing cornish game hens

our family is not big on turkey

we just tend to have a eclectic array of food

it doesnt go together - we just enjoy it - with a wink and a nod for leftovers

also 2 french apple tarts - I already bought 14 granny smith apples -

one to eat and one to slice to take home so everyone gets to eat another day

Hello all Lovelies,

Wishing everyone a sunny day, even if it’s raining where you are.  It is here.  I am slowly working my way through all my tons of paper kept in my Snuggery.  So much touches my heart.  DH is pushing me to keep my paints and brushes, even though I have said I am done painting.  I do have piles of pictures, ideas for decorating, things to make, etc.  Now, tell me, at 76 years old, does this mean I am really crazy or just very optimistic?  I think crazy does it.  Do any of you collect all this stuff?

Tomorrow will be our 54th wedding anniversary.  We will get out for a drive, but we are staying close to home and being careful.  We are grateful for so much.  I guess you could say we grew up together, through thick and thin.

Wishing you all good health and happiness in trying times.

@PamfromCT,  As far as collecting and planning at 76 or any age, not crazy at all -- you're just getting started!   The painting...  who knows when the spirit might move you, and you'd have your wonderful tools and supplies there at hand.   "Touches my heart" is good and human, and when we feel that we are reminded to keep caring no matter what.  I know you do (and I always appreciate your posts on other threads, too, on all issues).   I missed your special anniversary!   Good wishes to you and your husband for a wonderful year to come, and another special day next autumn to celebrate together.❤️
