Watermellon ice??Is that a drink?

as I have stated - I'm not a boozer but I always love a frozen drink or something in a pineapple or coconut - yep - I'm a tourist drinker

anyway - I was in Tampa and shopping in a supermarket and there were cocktails for very little money in sealed pouches (never saw that before) and bought a few- stuck in the freezer at the hotel - boy were they good

brought some home with me and couldn't get past the TSA

I couldn't leave them behind and checked the bag instead

hmmm haven't had them since

I should look for them except I don't know where - easier to pu at the supermarket and I do see wine coolers but never the pouches

they don't need to be refrigerated ...

need to google

okay - Dalys not sold in NYC

but look at NJ - wt heck?

when I look - it was sold at the grocery store, pharmacy, liquor store ...sigh

Good morning Lovelies,

I’m glad to see everyone doing well here.  Glad to see that some watch “Everybody Love Raymond” for laughs.  I sure do.

We all need something funny.

Although I am a “newbie” here, with no longer history of knowing @Preds, it didn’t take me long to figure out that she is such a special person.  I am not clever and funny like others here in print.  In person, I am known for my sense of humor.  So I feel so sad that I didn’t get to know her better.  But I knew she had such a good heart, and her bravery is heroic.  Such a sad time. Lost so many I loved to this disease.

Sorry to be a “downer” now.

@cowboy sam  It's like Italian ice, but the flavor is watermelon.

@PamfromCT  I feel the same.  That's (just one of) the qualities about @Preds - whether she has known you for 10 minutes or 10 years, she makes you feel at home. Heart

Have you ever tried watemelon ice.  It's really good and very refreshing.

Chocolate is good too.  It's hard to find.

@Bri369

love watermelon and I can eat the ice and fruit only

do not care for Jolly Ranger or any watermelon flavored anything and that includes watermelon flavored water

usually prefer my ices to be fruit based so sorry - no chocolate ice

I guess my head can't wrap around the idea

so no cheesecake or s'more ices for me

I'm a purist and fancy that way - lol

but my ice cream can have fixings like Reeses PB bits or toffee, cookie etc

some don't like chunks in the ice cream but only smooth texture

although you can't beat a soft serve on a waffle cone with rainbow sprinkles

gotta be rainbow and not chocolate

hey I don't make the rules -

I just abide by them

@Yahooey  soft serve is my favorite.  I like chocolate/vanilla swirl the best.

I'm not really an ice cream person.  I can only eat it during the summer when we're outside.  I like coconut ice cream the best.  Or pistachio.  Or Rocky Road.   Not in a cup.  Either on a cake cone or a sugar cone.

GM everyone!

So yesterday after I started to crave an italian ice, I knew better than to try to put the idea out of my mind.  I suited up (mask, gloves, hand sanitizer) grabbed my car keys, driver's license and card, and made the "essential" trip to Rita's, a chain italian ice place here.  I got a watermelon ice for myself and a black cherry for DH, and put them in the freezer for after dinner.  The watermelon was soooo good and refreshing - the ice cream headache that followed was totally worth it.

Like @Mj12 said, whether you knew her a year or 10 years or 10 days, she made you feel at home.

@Mj12  Well, the visual on that is hysterical.

I've heard about Rita's.  Maybe I saw them on the Food Network.

Watermelon and Black Cherry - that sounds so good too.  Glad you enjoyed them!
