@Bri369 : Went back to review everything my friend discussed. Dropped the ball of yarn, then what little I had tried to do- came apart. Couldn't remember how to start over. Looked at several videos and more confused. Not sure at 65 that I can find any hobby because eyes, hands are not cooperating. Southern Bee

@SouthernBee  Maybe your friend can show you again.  Do you have an Ipad that you can record it?  Then you can go back and keep practicing.

@SouthernBee no no no 65 is not too old to learn

I'm only a scant few years younger than you and I learned to knit- you too can learn a new craft.

if you are right handed - there probably are a lot more videos for right handed people than left handed. But I think it is hard for a leftie to teach you unless she can contort herself to show it to right handed. It is hard to think when there are fingers, movement, yarn and so forth.

My friend that crochets says it is easier than knitting because there is only 1 hook and 1 stitch at a time. Meaning you can drop one stitch whereas knitting - your needle can slip and the row of stitches are running loose.

Why did you pick crochet as opposed to knitting? Do you always wanted to learn or it was something to do?

Latch hook rug is a fiber craft - fancy ain't I

I'm pretty sure I did a kit or 2 when I was a teen but don't think it falls under crochet

OMGOSH!  Thank you and know that I will always be here.  This is your place, so let's keep it open and the party going.

Love you all.
