@PamfromCT : Still trying to make my self get up and do what needs to be done.

My feeble mind is always on "trying to deal with everything."

We have had thunder that shook the house and not fun.

Also had to deal with something else yesterday. DH always keeps the tv remote in his hands and has slept with the remote . He takes the remote with him if he goes to the kitchen or computer room. We have 3 tvs. Yesterday had to look for the missing remote and then discovered he had mixed up the remotes. Couldn't  operate the den tv when time to watch football. Changed the batteries. Then tried all remotes with each tv.I put a label on each remote plus dealing with DH stress and emotions. Never a dull moment in our house.🙄😃

What a laugh I had reading your post?

We misplace car keys, remotes, cell phones, eye glasses, all kinds of stuff.  My DH even lost his glasses and even his wedding ring yesrs back.  We did replace it, was very expensive, and I hope this one is never lost.

I wear my glasses most of the time, though only needed for reading,  I cannnot tell you how many times they have gone missing!  Not due to old age, we have always been this way!

Our first big laugh of 2025!!

And I sometimes misplace my iPad, too!

Again, not attention to what is at hand!

What a wonderful Christmas gift you have given us with your post!❤️  I've been thinking of you since you had mentioned some time ago about having to undergo serious surgery.  I'm so happy that things seem to be going well for you.  

I hope you continue to improve as you recuperate and will be feeling much better very soon.  We all miss you and want you to resume your presence here with us!

Yesterday  i went to lunch with paincake sis  and her neighbor, after we ordered our meal paincake sis  opens her purse  and takes out a Black Hills Gold ring  and asks me if it was mine ??? as she found  it on the floor  in back seat of her car????  Didn't say when she found it tho!

uh...yes indeed it was mine !😮 and I would have been very "distressed" if i had know i had missed placed it..it must have slipped off my ring finger  but when??? IDK !!!😮😣😥

I thanked her  and put it into a zippered part of my purse for safe keeping...right now its too big for my fingers to wear!!!  It is now back in my jewelry box  and safe!

May all our missing items suddenly show up for us to see!🙏

I spent NYE with my niece - the 2 women that went on the paris trip (who lived in the building) mom and dad of 1 of the women and another 2 friends

8 people in total - eating and laughing and then the L O N G wait till midnight

CNN was awful - just a lot of blah blah and not enough performances

then the switch to ABC - more champagne and kiss kiss - good night

breakfast with the 2 women and the parents - they brought up a toaster and non stick pan - niece doesnt own either - scrambled eggs w creme fraiche - toasted bagette w/ buttah - the woman drove her parents back home to jersey - i took the subway back home and niece had to do some work

i never stay up to celebrate NYC - maybe in my 20s - but that was long ago

so yesterday was fun - we all reminiscined about our trip -
