A while ago, I saw a saying on these forums that touched my heart, so I copied it down on a card and I keep in on my refrigerator door with some kitty magnets, so I hope it will help to add more comfort for you and your daughter during this difficult time.

@Yahooey ...My sentiments exactly!

@Marp and her thread will always remain very special to me...Such great posters and we all had such a great time sharing as Shelly performed her very loving rescues and miracles...and Marp was so wonderful and caring and understanding of all our feelings and would help us through some difficult moments that we all went through as we viewed all of Shelly's rescues...She was like our very caring and protective Meowmy...lol...a lovely person.

I'm so happy that we got to experience when Shelly first started out, as it was so absolutely fascinating and we all felt like one huge family, as it was so much more personal and intimate and she had more time to share with all of her viewers...Of course, as her rescue organization grew, it gradually changed as she just, understandably, became so very busy with everything and so it just lost the intimacy and personal feeling....yet, we were all so very happy for her and how she brought about global awareness to the plight of the feral cats and has been so very successful in her endeavors...Shelly is so amazing and definitely a hero

Oh, just one little interesting tidbit...I did check in with TinyKittens a couple of weeks ago and I saw Shelly and she had a ring on the ring finger of her left hand...Uh Huh...I'm thinking that maybe her and hunky firefighter Dave...lol...tied the knot...If they did, definitely a perfect match and a beautiful couple...inside and outside.

Whew, I got carried away there a little...lol...

Have a peaceful sleep, sweet yahooey...I'm so happy I met you through Marp's thread and that we still continue to share.

Thank you all. @Yahooey , she was 18 years old. DD is 25, so she saw her grow up and me and DH grow older. We were so blessed.

I had anoter stray that came to me when i was a fresh college grad trying to land a job and she left me when i was 40 established in my career -she was 18 also

funny how time flies and ur furbaby can mark the points in ur life

I'm so sorry. I know she leaves a very large empty spot in your heart.💔

My tuxedo passed on two years ago. We had ten good years together after he found me. I miss him still. Each one is special.

I kind of resent when people--although well-meaning--say "They are like family". No--they are family.🐾❤️

There are so many pretty colors to choose from..our hardware store had some huge ones outside store almost like a small hedge..and sold them all...as when i walk by store they are gone!

I didn't buy any yet. The ones we have out right now don't look very good. Our weather has been so weird that I'm not sure I'll get any this year. And I'm getting too lazy to deal with a lot of things anymore.🤗
