Maybe I'm simple, but my understanding that this thread is about prayer for murdered police officers.  Yet again.

Salary shouldn't enter the conversation.  No amount of money is worth being a target.

TIME magazine recently had the list of the most dangerous jobs (most fatalities on the job) in the USA. #1 was loggers, then fishermen, pilots, roofers, garbage men, farmers, steel workers, truck drivers, power line workers...taxi drivers are #10.

Law enforcement was #15.

I'm not quoting this to "downgrade" their work - it's dangerous, often thankless and I could never do it. But the reality is that the vast majority of LE never even draw their guns in their entire career.

Our instantaneous communications now make everything seem as if its getting worse, when that is often not the case - thank God!

Thank God for the brave men and women who protect us...and prayers to the families of those who senselessly lost their lives by violence and hate.
